Theology This movie is seriously misguiding. For instance, I have studied theology / scripture, and it's a good thing to know, that white means purity, it is all over in Revelations with the people of God, for example, Rev. 19:14 The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. It is terribly naive to think just because the white horse is there at the start of the others, ( that are clearly bad horses), it too has to be bad. As it says in Rev. 19:15 - " the Messiah will tread the wine of the wine pres of the tribulation " hence the Messiah comes first, then the calamities. Also know that the Messiah does not have to do with the calamities just because he is there. There are people who could do such bad things, because the see him coming. As for calling a peacemaker bad, it is obvious who would do that, someone who wants it all for themselves, hence no world unifying peace, just their singular ruling existence.
slatromhsiloof This movie will surely bring about the end of days. Obviously someone is skewing the vote on IMDb as no sane person would give this more than 2 stars. I couldn't bring myself to watch the whole thing as I was pretty sure it was giving me brain damage. I don't think I will ever be able to get another erection ever again. I am seriously thinking about suing the producers for making me sterile. I actually am on the verge of dropping a kidney stone just thinking about this movie. Go watch Spider-man instead as it is more historically relevant. I checked "Contains spoiler" because obviously the intent was to trick people into watching this worthless waste of time, and I'll surely be spoiling that for someone if they read this review. I don't understand how this work of obvious fiction is being pushed of as a documentary. This is worse than the slanted one sided garbage that the liberal douche Michael Moore tries to pass off as "fact". If you have nothing better to do than stare into the sun for a few hours, keep doing it as it would be preferable to watching this movie.
too_bookoo Please, do not watch this program if you cannot stomach references to Biblical symbolism that do not involve bashing religion. Mass media has something for everyone, and if it's not for you then go in peace - quietly. For non-theophobes, Seven Signs was a delightful rendering of Apocalypse symbolism in terms of modern knowledge of natural disasters, man-made disasters, ecological disasters, and cosmological disasters. You'll note that the title's very clear and unambiguous reference to the Apocalypse of Revelation is in fact borne out through the program - each of the signs listed in Revelation gets its own segment, lovingly rendered in full high-resolution doom.Apparently some are threatened by any reference to religion, and feel compelled to rant about it lest they be proselytized. To the radical theophobe, a simple unbiased work becomes a hated attempt to convert them and turn them into mindless sheep. As stated above, if any reference to religion "offends" you then by all means turn the channel.SSotA gives cinematic life to each of the signs of the Apocalypse, and shows how they "could" happen. The end of the world not only could happen - it *will*. somehow. The ultimate premise of SSotA is that Revelation describes a specific *sequence* of cataclysms. That "the world will end" is undeniable - but for it to play out exactly as prophesied would (will) indeed provide a compelling and undeniable proof of God's existence.
wrf-5 I entered this film hoping for a new angle on the destruction of the planet and all I got was a Biblical interpretation of the end of life as we know it. I don't mind the Biblical references, but when that's all I see, then I feel hoodwinked. Just another attempt to rope everyone in (with special effects) to the prophecies of the Bible. I'm not a religious person, but I am very open to ideas, but this visual aberration is insulting. What puzzles me is how religious zealots can use current tragedies as examples, completely forgetting similar examples like the Spanish Flu from nearly a hundred years ago, as possible examples of the end of times. It's like 9/11 is the epitome of terrorist acts when there have been so many more in the past. This is garbage and should not be taken as anything more than propaganda.
