This movie made me feel good. It is not a masterpiece but still it has an over all quality as entertainment that runs the risk to be overseen. It deals with the most common angst of true love. Love problems have an impact on our daily life. This movie deals with many of the problems but in a shallow, American, Hollywood style. So what? The acting is on a basic level as the directing but
I never had a feeling that any one in the movie was in lack of genuine acting skills. They did a fine job and there is a lot more to give from all of the main actors. This movie is an example of easy to digest motion picture art form as entertainment suitable for any one to take part of.

This is a romantic comedy suitable for viewing by males. That said, you know what you're in for. In that regard, there's a pretty heavy-handed metaphor at the end of the script, and the film contains a pretty, original song. I also enjoyed the gimmick of the hapless psychic, made obvious when Laura finally does spill the coffee on her shoe.I love this film, and I would like to add that the DVD version has some deleted scenes that are well worth watching. I usually find this feature to be a waste of time, but there have been a couple of films ("Josie and the Pussycats" and most notably, "Gladiator" come to mind) where you get to "finish the film" yourself by watching the deleted scenes.

It's no wonder that this movie won the "best International Premiere" at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in 1999. This movie - although low budget, is a warm hearted look at a man's journey to find love. Tim Daly as Jesse is Witty and charming. Laura Leighton as Anabeth steals every scene she's in. She's not only stunninly beautiful, but also very talented. It's a shame that most of her scenes are in flash back mode. Melora Hardin, Mimi Rodgers, Jami Gertz and Olivia D'abo also do fine jobs as Jesse's old flames. One word to finnish - the finale scenes with Anabeths photo's will have you laughing till there's no tomorrow!

Few romantic comedies around can accomplish what this film has. To entertain, to make you laugh, to make you think, to make you feel that it's all original material. The cast is well chosen, with Melora Hardin, Tim Dally, and Laura Leighton giving some stand out performances.
The plot is very good, in comparison with the average film about relationships that Hollywood churns out each year. The gags are laugh out loud funny at times, and other moments make you consider your own life's experiences.A Superb film. go and see it now!!~ 10 out of 10 ~
