i didn't find anything special about this alleged sex comedy.i think i laughed twice throughout the movie.the whole thing is really random and incoherent in my opinion.but it wasn't the worst movie i've ever seen or the worst of the genre, for that matter.it isn't very memorable though.in a day or two,i'll have forgotten most of the movie.i thought the soundtrack was pretty lame also.there are a fair amount of naked breasts in the movie, but that alone doesn't make it worth watching,in my books.it's touted as a raunchy sex comedy,in fact 'the raunchiest sex comedy of the 80's' but i didn't think it was raunchy at all.for me,Screwballs is a 3/10

Five horny male students at Taft & Adams High (a.k.a. T&A High) join forces and concoct various wild schemes to see the bare breasts of popular uptight tease Purity Busch (well played to the snobby and priggish hilt by the gorgeous Linda Speciale). That's about it for the admittedly slight and silly plot, but what this baby lacks in both substance and subtlety it more than compensates for in sheer boundless energy and a pleasing amount of tasty gratuitous female nudity. Director Rafal Zielinski maintains a constant brisk pace and a playfully dippy tone throughout while the gloriously inane script by Jim Wynorski and Linda Shayne (the latter also acts in the flick as raucous good-time gal Bootsie Goodhead) delivers a steady succession of hilariously crude jokes on such things as breast exams, erections, masturbation, punch spiked with Spanish Fly, and strip bowling. Surprising, said lowbrow humor manages to stay just on the right side of raunchy without ever becoming too gross or offensive. Moreover, the cast really sink their teeth into their colorfully broad roles, with especially stand-out work by Kent Deuters as smooth ladies man Brent Van Dusen III, Alan Deveau as bespectacled nerd Howie Bates, Jason Warren as lovable fat slob Melvin Jerkovski, and Donnie Bowes as the stern Principal Stuckoff. Better still, the deliciously voluptuous Raven De La Croix struts her smoking hot stuff as sexy stripper Miss Anna Tomical. Miklos Lente's slick cinematography, Tim McCauley's zany rockin' score, and the infectiously bouncy soundtrack all further enhance the considerable wacky merriment. A total riot.

Why is it that Canadians are so funny in the United States, but are so lousy in their own country? Did all the good ones leave? Does the Canadian government exercise too much control over productions.Canada is so close to the U.S., I cant believe they don't have a similar sense of sexual humor. Except for one very brief gag, this movie makes no attempt to convey even the slightest motivation as to why teenagers pull the type of pranks they do. Even if you just assume they are just horny adolescents, their gags are highly unoriginal and/or have no original outcome.Perfect example of how to take an 16mm camera, a large cheap cast and make a throw away film.

This movie has some funny moments and some cool characters. but this movie is to much like Porky's and is not on the ball that much. This is just capitalizing on the teen sex craze of the 80's and watching it in the 90's is a little hard to stomach!
