Scarlet's Witch is an interesting little fantasy tale that tells the story of a lonely girl who befriends a mysterious witch that lives out in the forest. But does the witch have questionable intentions?I expected a gothic fairytale and to an extent that's what this is, trouble is it's just not really very good. The plot is established early but rapidly goes off the rails and by the half way mark it becomes evident that it's lost it's way altogether. The finale, passable..............but the film as a whole is seven shades of bad. It's not without it's merits, but it's so badly flawed it's left as a barely watchable mess. The Good:Fantastic cover artInteresting enough plotThe Bad:Plot falls apart badlyCinematography is badly lackingThings I Learnt From This Movie:Cover arts can be decieving

Unique. Original. Fun.What most don't understand is this filmmaker worked with NOTHING. Somehow able to compete with million dollar films is just unheard of. BRAVO.Is it perfect? NO. But is it still entertaining? YES.But I consider this a miracle film. The best thing about this is how beautiful of a story it was. The actor was the worst part about it, but they weren't that bad. I think with better actors this film would be TOP notch.I love the poster and the environment created for the film as well. I mean what a classy tale.

First off, this film has it's problems - and obvious problems at that. Upon my first viewing I was instantly aware of issues such as the - at times - shaky acting, the jarring narration that crops up every now and again, weird voice effects and the slow pacing around the second act of the film. However, despite all of these pet peeves, I continued to watch - because one of the greatest strengths of the film was it's originality. This story is not one which I feel has ever been done before, and I was desperate to find out where it was going and how it would end. Though the direction of the story was questionable at times, I can assure you it leads to a satisfying pay off at the end. Additionally, it has some great cinematography which is very pleasant to watch. Overall, I call this a sick day movie, because it's the sort of film to watch when you're ill in bed and have the time to view something a little different that will hold your attention and give you something other than your flu to think about. It's a sweet little film with it's ups and downs, that definitely creates something magical.
