Synopsis

The little pointy-nosed man and his dog are out camping one night, not knowing that the Pink Panther is on a tree branch just above them. He can't sleep because of the man's snoring, so he cuts loose the man's hammock with a knife, sending him flying straight to the river. When the dog hears the man's scream for help, he grips the knife in his mouth, and seeing this, the man blames the dog for what's happened. Later, the panther attaches the little man's hammock above the campfire, and sends the tent with the man in it floating down the river towards a waterfall. Every time the dog gets the blame, making the man hate his pet.

OllieSuave-007 The Pink Panther gets a sleepless night when the pointy-nosed man and his dog are out camping out one evening, the man's snores keeping the panther up. So, the panther hilariously unleashes a host of counters including cutting loose the man's hammock with a knife, sending him flying into the river. He later also makes the man's hammock catch on fire. The man's poor dog, of course, is blamed for all this.Plenty of laughs here. The dog is quite adorable and the man, of course, is funny and entertaining when mad and when he gets the bad end of the rap when the panther plays tricks on him. One of the better ones with the Pink Panther.Grade A
TheLittleSongbird One of my favourite Pink Panther cartoons, and one I deem a classic. In hindsight it is not entirely imaginative, but you don't notice at all because of the excellent way it's executed in that it actually feels more original than it is and it plays to Pinky's character strengths. The animation is very charming to look at, with elegant colouring and simple but carefully drawn drawing. The music is catchy and energetic, always appropriate for the action, and the theme tune is still fun to listen to no matter how many times it's heard. The gags are clever, well-set-up and rounded off and most importantly are funny. I still love Pinky's coolness, charm and effortless likability, he is also still fun to watch as always. The dog is a great characters and in my view one of Pinky's best partners. Overall, a classic from the Pink Panther. 10/10 Bethany Cox
JoeA1004 Pink Panther is out in the woods trying to sleep when the snoring of a camper (sleeping just below him by a tree) keeps him awake. Coupled with the fact that the camper's pooch is trying to protect the camper from Panther's ire towards his master makes for hilarious comedy.I've been going through the Complete Pink Panther DVD collection and this episode is definitely one of my favorites. This is classic Pink Panther. I love when the Panther is more of a supporting cast member rather than the lead. The leads are the camper and his dog and they are hilarious without revealing too much. I found myself laughing aloud in this one.
Shawn Watson The Pink Panther is sleeping in the treetops in a secluded part of the forest when a noisy man and his dog set up their camp below him for the night. The camper is happy to hog all the comfort for himself and leave his dog out in the cold but his snoring is keeping Pinky awake.Obviously less than pleased at this intrusion, Pinky takes it upon himself to play tricks on the camper as he sleeps, leaving the dog to rescue him. Each time the camper awakens he thinks it's the dog that has sabotaged his sleep and scolds him for it. Promptly going back to sleep and snoring loudly. Not a particularly imaginative set-up but has a good reasonable amount of laughs to keep it going.
