Where have we seen this before? Years earlier there had been a massacre at this school, and no one had been brought to book for it. Now a horror film is being made there, and of course, there are more murders. That doesn't sound so bad, but what follows is so confusing that it is almost impossible to follow. To take just one example, after leaping from a high window to evade the fiend who has just murdered her lover, a young woman ends up in a car with the bad guy miraculously behind her. The crew applaud, it's all part of the filming, then her head is hacked off, so the bad guy was real? No, because next we see her waking up in bed from a nightmare. Totally and utterly confusing; the soundtrack isn't bad, but nothing can rescue this one.

Horror spoofs either work or they don't - this one sadly doesn't. Within the first 5 minutes I knew that this was going to be a long hour & a half. It's a film within a film, an opportunity missed as this is something of a confusing mess. It's not that funny either. There's some reasonable gore - the lecherous teacher getting dissected is the standout scene - plus some gratuitous nudity thrown in. The killer wears a cool mask but is let down by wearing yellow rubber gloves, the type you wash up with! The DVD case gave George Clooney star billing but that's a con, he's only a very minor character in the first 10 minutes.

I thought this was a medical film. There was Dr. Ben Casey (Vince Edwards); Ace from E.R. (George Clooney), along with Lori Lethin and Al Fann from the same show; Aubrey from Emergency (Pepper Martin); Rafael Camacho from Dr. Max (Panchito Gómez); Professor Porter from Doctors (Brendan Hughes); and Matthew from Trapper John, M.D. (Scott Jacoby). There was also Marcia Brady (Maureen McCormick). maybe she had a doctor's appointment. But, no, it was just a cheesy horror flick with the required exposed bits in the locker room shot. Too few to make it worth your while. Clooney was very busy in 1987. The is one of two films he appeared in - his first features. He appeared in several TV shows, including the final year of The Facts of Life. Sadly, he had little time for more that a brief appearance before being killed. lol

I wanted to see this movie because of the great picture on the front of the DVD (a cheerleader-skeleton!). But the movie is a bomb... It's plain boring! And there's no cheerleader-skeleton to be seen in the entire movie... George Clooney gets killed in fifteen minutes, how stupid can a director be! The movie wasn't scary and there are way too many plot twists. The only reasons to watch this film is Clooney in an early role (I guess he too had to start somewhere...) and the actress who played Marcia in The Brady Bunch, she's kinda funny. But it's still a C-movie! If you want to see where other famous actors started check out 'The burning' (Holly Hunter), 'He thinks you're alone' (Tom Hanks) and 'A nightmare on Elm Street, (Johnny Depp).
