bigyella919 What the gosh-darned heck is the matter with these critics who don't like this Halloweentown movie? Did actress Sara Paxton say or do something that cheesed them off before seeing this Disney Channel movie? These nay-sayers should be banned from IMDb! Booo! Booo! They are all off my Christmas list! Return to Halloweentown is a fine movie, not as cool as Halloweentown High or the original Halloweentown, but it has great movements. Halloweentown alumni J. Paul Zimmerman, Judith Hoag and Debbie Reynolds are back, although Debbie has a brief appearance. Keone Young and Kristy Yu are totally SINISTER as the chief villains in this film. Their goal is to use Marnie Piper as a tool to use an ancient relic to rule Halloweentown forever. Oh, yes, Marnie goes to Witch University, too. Lucas Grabeel is great in this film, as he was in Halloweentown High. He doesn't wear a hat like he does in another set of DCOMs he's more popular in, but who's gonna sue him? The only faults in this film are the lack of Kimberly J. Brown and the short scene with Debbie. Sara Paxton makes a decent Marnie, but I WANNA SEE KIMBERLY!! Now that the evil Dominion are in jail, I'm gonna go to Halloweentown and mingle with Benny the Skeleton Taxi driver and that troll with the unpronounceable name. Trick or Treat!
xXxSharonxXx I thought Return to Halloween was really good. Yes like many I also missed Kimberly J. Brown. I'm sure she would have loved to do it but I also think Sara Paxton did an awesome job. I was a little surprised at first but I soon got use to it and didn't notice after a while. At least they had the decency to dye her hair the same color and she almost does look like Kim just skinnier (and no she's not anorexic) and I think she got the part down perfect. I agree with some other commenter's that they should have shown the teachers were evil later in the movie rather than so close to the beginning. I also like the Ethan and Marnie getting close together. I didn't like how they took Sophie out but at least they didn't really leave her out. They at least gave an excuse to why she's not being seen. Overall really good movie. And just so everyone's clear, DEBBIE REYNOLDS WAS IN RETURN TO HALLOWEENTOWN! Just look at the cast listings, geez!
Kumiko Inuzuka I loved this movie. I really hope there is a fifth. It really surprised me when Ethan revealed that he was a mortal. I didn't see that one coming. I also never guessed that Splendora was actually Aggie. I have watched these from the start and now I'm waiting for the next part. I also couldn't believe that Ethan and Marnie never kissed. Seriously, I expected that throughout the movie, but they never did. Oh yeah, Sarah Paxton did good in her role as Marnie. She may not be the original, but you could barely tell, or I couldn't at least. J. Paul Zimmerman surprised me in his role, too. My favorite part that he was in was when Dylan got turned into a dog and then back human. It was funny when his mom said "Just don't roll over, not yet." Can't wait to find out the next theme.
stevie johnstone well in my opinion i loved the movie and the flirting between Marnie and Ethan though out the whole movie. Marnie had to grow up at some time. I really love the part where they where on the broom together and the song that was playing in the background ( which i don't know the name of and wished that i did) made the seen even better!! I thought that they where continuing the story well but there is always room for improvement on anything. you got to see some of the past things that you didn't learn about her family before hand and the characters develop even more. the fact is that if they do make a 5th movie to the series i would drop all my stuff with out a hesitation to go and see it!
