Resident Evil: Damnation is the second movie in the CGI Resident Evil series. However I didn't feel like this game was as good as Degeneration or the recently Vendetta movies. It has it moments don't get me wrong but in my opinion the movie does not hold up as far as Resident Evil goes.It just seem this movie would done better as a game or just a short book as a movie it leads much to be desire. The animation in the movie is very good and the background and settings look stunning so that's a good plus. The characters look so life like that you forget you're watching CGI characters. However some of the characters seem to have been nothing but wasted space as they did little or hardly anything new to the story. This of course not counting Leon and Ada two Resident Evil Legends. The voice work is good with creative writing and quotes however again some of the characters just feels out of place and made you wonder why they even were put in the movie in the first place.I'm not saying this is a bad movie but I'm not saying it's a great one either. It just seem Resident Evil: Damnation was only made to entertain the fans which I am a fan of the series however this one just felt weak mislead and out of place in the Resident Evil world. If not for the weak characters in the movie it might have work it does have good action scenes but you can only do so much for a movie based on a hit series.I give Resident Evil: Damnation an 6 out of 10

This is animation via 3d modeling tools coupled with recording of live actions. Looks wonderful; better, in fact, than many live action horror films that I have reviewed lately. The main action takes place in a fictional former Soviet bloc nation, Eastern Slav Republic, that came into existence after the fall of the USSR. The film follows an American agent, Leon S. Kennedy, who goes rogue during the continuing civil war in ESR. The rumour that Leon wants to check out is whether or not the rebel forces in the civil war are using BOWs (Bio Organic Weapons). Leon encounters a BOW almost immediately.President Svetlana brings in Ada Wong from the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance) to look into the allegations. By themselves, the BOW are useless (attack friend and foe alike), but if a plaga is applied, control can be asserted. Sounds tricky. Leon needs to get some sort of evidence of all this. So does Ada Wong. The things that look like zombies walking around in Eastern Europe seem to be humans enslaved by plaga attaching themselves to spinal cords. Great. I was expected a high quality zombie film, and got a no zombie film. Will Leon or Ada get the evidence they needed? Will the ESR survive as a country?-----Scores------Art/Animation: 10/10 Exceptional; I'd like to give it a 73 out of 10, but 10 is tops. Most of the film looks great. Loved the fight sequences between Ada Wong and President Svetlana.Sound: 8/10 Sound leveling could be better. Going from fight-action music to/from conversation is a disaster.Voice Acting: 7/10 This varies a lot. Matthew Mercer, Wendee Lee, and Courtenay Taylor were good. Val Tasso was mighty irritating. Most of the others were competent.Story: 4/10 Wow. Terrible dialog in so many places. Is this a civil war film, a zombie film, an east vs west film, a biohazard film? The connections to Resident Evil seem weak.

What the hell was this??I have watched this movie because I saw in title Resident Evil. After 20 minutes I realize that it is rubbish. No one can accept this like serious movie, it was so dumb. I like animated action movies, but this is like watching boring PC game, political speeches, sometimes showing some "pseudo-zombie" , boss fight for 25 minutes in movie final.Sorry, but if I will be 10 years old, I will accept this movie or like it, but I am not. Music in movie was only positive thing. My rating is 3 out of 10. Part of Residen Evil series (only in name) - 1 star, Music - 1 star, Short skirt of president Svetlana Belikova - 1 star.

Loved it. The animation was superb, much better than the previous film. The story depart a bit from the original resident evil style, no zombies , but rather Lickers and some character from resident Evil 4 (the video game); however, sticks to the scene that a Resident Evil movie should be. Some people might not consider this a zombie movie but hey, are such thing as real zombies, is not a documentary that should be accurate is it's a movie and it's a fun movie with great action scenes, especially when the president lady fights Leon and Ada. The battle with the Nemesis was excellent. Excellent movie. Can't wait for another one. I highly recommended it.
