TBJCSKCNRRQTreviews This three-hour documentary is found on the Deluxe Extended Edition 3-Disc DVD release of King Kong of 2005. It consists of interviews, behind the scenes material, FX footage in different stages of development and clips of the film. This is immensely thorough, and it manages to also be quite concise, not spending an excessive amount of time on any one subject; it delves into it, and once it has been exhausted, it moves on. Every conceivable aspect of making the movie is covered, and I have to admit, I hadn't expected the majority of the things I found out during this. I don't want to give any of them away, so I'll just stick with telling you that if you like the picture itself, this is for you. Designs, performances, script, the effects, everything is gone into. The whole thing is well-edited. Everyone has something to say, be it interesting, funny, or both. You get genuine insight in the craft, and we are shown the ups as well as the downs of working on a flick, particularly such a massive undertaking as this one was. I recommend this to any fan of any of those who put this together. 8/10
