Ben Larson Whenever I want a good serial killer movie, and am tired of Se7en, I look to Korea for my fix. They never disappoint with police procedural that slowly take you to the bad guy.The story goes back to childhood and the Army, where one of the characters is torn by his affection for another. Their conflicted love carries forward to the present when they bump into each other again. The acting is superb and the pacing is good. You are never quite sure who the killer is until the end. The director manages to keep the film believable while he works in the twists and turns that make it stand out.Gyu-ri Kim really impressed me as a hard nose female cop in the film. I'm going to seek her out in the future.
dumsumdumfai Thi is a fair movie. Fair as in the clues are given, story is complete and the twist is given progressively to you, the audience to be same as the protagonist of the movie - to figure out the ending. The film is super efficient, moves at at brisk pace, back tracks to causes and brings all the lines together. There's a lot of dialogue, but mostly plot points, so lot of subtitle to follow. Can't say for sure about the acting since I'm following the subtitle half the time.It slows down eventually to the ending, but I wish it can slow down even a bit more. The shaky camera, and the 'fake' car chase is a bit of .. a make up.. for it's "thriller" genre aspect and not 'action' piece. Not bad.
