Prashast Singh I always wanted to see this film as the promo and Allu Arjun's style impressed me. Since he is my favorite hero, I waited long for the movie and finally watched it. It's a real entertainer with full on masala.Allu Arjun and Shaam's pair is really good as brothers. They look like real brothers. Shruti Haasan is good and does well in all her scenes, including the songs, where she has scope for glamour. Brahmanandam's entry as kill bill pandey is superb.Prakash Raj's comedy and performance is mindblowing. Allu Arjun's intro as a police officer is the most entertaining part in this movie.The music by Thaman is good.The fights,VFX and story are all good and have the heart in right place.Surender Reddy has once again presented a different movie before us. The comedy is also very good.On the whole, Race Gurram is a full on masala entertainer that will be enjoyed by audiences of all ages. Blockbuster entertainer!

Srikar Reddy First of all, I am not an Allu Arjun fan, so there is no point in calling me biased!! 'Race Gurram' is story of a family with two brothers who are a kind of tom and jerry and are face-off since child hood. The younger one turns out to become Allu Arjun as lucky( a carefree graduate trying to go to America) and older on to be Shyam as Ram who is a sincear police officer who lands in a fight with Shiva Reddy, a goon turned politician played by Ravi Kishan(aaaawwww, awesome!!!) and movie runs with loads of entertainment on how Lucky tackles Shiva Reddy!First of all I had pretty bad experiences with Surender Reddys' films in theater like Athidhi, which was too way ahead of its time and Oosaravelli(lets not talk about it!) so this was some kind of risk I thought before stepping in the theater. But believe me you will be glued to your seats till the end and will come out with a BIG smile on your face feeling refreshed! and the credit goes to screen play and Vakkantam Vamsi(the write)Arjun is good and usual and all the cast was perfect. Shruthi Hassan too brings you laughs!The best part is the last 30 minutes of the film which is exceptional in the industry that has lengthy fights during climax. But this makes you burst in laugh more than the whole movie does. Brahmi as Kill Bill Pandey makes to leave you theater with the question who was the hero in the movie!!! Posani is another high light along with M.S. Narayana. I only feel Prakash Raj could have been used in better way rather than just comedy.Overall the movie is a superb package of excellent comedy, witty one liners(without vulgarity), good cast and finally some good music from Thaman(surprising actually)Watch it with family and you will enjoy for sure unless you are some freaky guy who says their hero is only great one :p

braddugg I do not understand few things in films and this film had many of my misunderstandings.Why an irrelevant song comes in between two songs? Why there will be comedy track in climax? Why the sub plots take precedence over main plot? Why a female lead is confined just to songs or has little space in the film? There are so many questions that will be in my mind and most times the answer is simple "It's a Telugu Commercial Film". So we have to expect the unexpected, logic has very little or rather no space. The script is written only for the hero and comedy is forcibly inserted. The audience goes to the movies for entertainment and if they are given some time pass by comedy or songs, they are more than happy. I am an absolute misfit to rate commercial Telugu movies because for me they are absolutely non-sensical and for the common Telugu audience they are more than movies, they debate, talk over, use the same jokes and dialogs in real life and even follow the heroes. So, I would rather refrain from reviewing this. I can simply say, I got laughter only in last 20 minutes when Brahmanandam came as Kill Bill Pandey and rest of the film was forgettable for me. Without wasting any further words, I am going with 1/5 (purely personal rating) and that 1 is for Kill Bill Pandey.
