Mr. Jones I admit the true story behind "Puncture" is compelling. However, there's not much here that raises this film above any other typical courtroom drama. The acting is fine and the writing is OK, but movie is not intellectually stimulating. It's just an admirable film about a maddening character and a hugely unjust medical system that leaves its own puncture wounds. There's even something of a surprise ending, but again it doesn't elevate to authentic plateau of significance. Film lacks more depth, but it moves and produces a nicely alluring. Those with a taste for these kind of flicks or fans of Evans (Brett Cullen also was wonderful as palpably oily corporate lawyer on the other side of legal case) will enjoy this one, others ..who knows. Rating: 7-/6+ ('cos I like these kind of flicks)
Hollaye Heskett Honestly, I just went through 10 minutes of trying to figure out my account and password just to say that:THIS MOVIE WAS VERY GOOD. It was a nice break in the typical things Hollywood has been pumping out and centered on a true story with a meaningful storyline. Mark acting is very good and I just love that his character was someone with flaws that many of us can relate to. His character is an addict and while I wish no one was even an addict, it's nice that this guy wasn't painted over as a "great" guy. I've been telling many of my friends on FB to go watch it if they haven't already. -Holl
zif ofoz the star of this movie is the story itself. not the actors! i found the main character with his perfect male body, highly skilled legal mind, tattoos and street drug addiction way too incongruous to be taken seriously and to be believable. maybe in a straight porn or gay porn story, but not this story!so at the start of this flick i was not liking it at all. but i stuck with it due to it's most compelling storyline and the two well meaning lawyers taking on a corrupt American corporate behemoth on behalf of victimized health care workers.let me guarantee anyone considering watching this movie that you will become most intrigued by the plot as it becomes ever more destructive to our two protagonist and eventually the antagonist.i do not want to get into the details of this movie because the other reviewers have covered that and i feel a 'review' should be more about how a film affected the viewer. once i grasped what the two lawyers wanted to do i was hooked on watching it to the end. as i stated first, it's the story that makes this movie a real watcher!
delightful-life As the official story line suggests this is a story regarding the fight of a few small lawyers against a behemoth Medical Company. This movie is recommended if you like seeing documentaries and you will end with a little understanding of what happens behind the scenes in Medical Supplies.Even as a documentary, it was not up to par, they tried to sensationalize a few things and of course they had do some extra dramatization to make it a movie and that detracts from the quality, if they had just stuck to making it like a documentary it might have been a far better movie. The biggest problem was the script and the editing, it was as if they were unsure of how to tell the story. As a result you are always feeling that something is amiss, and this causes the movie to loose its feel of credibility. And the acting does not help either. So if what you want is some entertainment, please skip this movies.
