contesindiens On the spolight in leading roles: Vijay, Sudeep and Sridevi. After a teaser that hits and two briliant announcements (trailers), the film results in a pale copy of Hollywood movies from the 80's a gender like "The Neverending Story" by Wolfgang Petersen, US-Germain production. I would say that the aesthetic side, unoriginal, takes over the scenario which is not with real foundations! The "Madrasi" director: Chimbu Deven, should have taken more time to refine, in sculpting all the pieces in terms of funds and souls especially when you got legend actors served on a silver platter like Sridevi. Bad choice, greed or eager to play an evil queen? Sridevi has nevertheless declined, at the time the offer of Sri Srisaila director Rajamouli for Baahubali: The beginning, a huge international success which has blown up at any boxe office. The diva remains remarkable by her presence but she radiates in noway through her lines and the assigned role allegedly sold to her as decisive and "Key" is empty. Her character: Yavana Rani appears only an hour after the intermission. The thrilling moment is the final scene where she excels at will in a "mortal" combat.The film is told for young children, while there are scenes of a high degree of barbarity that the CSA in France could prohibit it under 8 years. Many inconsistencies even if one does not look for logic in a fantastic trip but common sense would have been rigorous in that story. The very secondary roles Shruti Hassan, cold and little locace (I would rather prefer to see Priya Anand in this role) Hansika Motwani is just right in her role as hot and cutesy princess. Both have roles devoid of depth with their dialogues they had better kept them mimic. Far from being a drawback: their dream and glamorous sequences are typical Kollywood including the not bad performance sequence by Hansika "Mannavanae Mannavanae" : epic and rhythmic. Vijay saved what could still be saved, thankfully! And that role suits him."Puli": why such a title? ("Tiger" in English) The tribe of tigers to which he belongs to is not explicitly highlighted and do not expect to see the metamorphosis of Vijay in feline, no way ! Romances, emotions and dreams are not forthcoming, no balance in this tale between Shrek and The Hobbit sprinkled with fights and violence at all costs. The songs are melodious nothing more, about the comic scenes, they are Indian, only "funny". The music sounds grandiose to suggest an atmosphere that does not reach our expectations ... It's a shame. If you are fans of Vijay, the movie is worth it, fans of Sudeep, stay awake because he is lacking of expressions, Sridevi fans, you will be disappointed at her part as she could make it more scenic amplitudes as performs a (witch) dance for instance or being much more involved into the plot, if plot there was. A suite ? I doubt ... It would be better not.

Ramneek Suri Long and uneven Fantasy Adventure. The film is a mixture of the awful and passable. Uneven but generally OK visual effects are counterbalanced by a dull overlong script. The lead actor seems to understand how unintentionally funny the whole thing is and his comedy works. Rest of the cast falls flat. Sridevi is utterly wasted in a hammy villainous role. The film pulls it's punches clearly afraid of antagonizing her fans. Disappointing.5/10

pandiyan-13893 As for vijay fans its better, As for audiences for heroines it shows clearly we have missed the good actress genelia in this movie, A perpectualty of Tamil girl who shows small small things cuteness and good looking.. or at least actress Nazeria here wil fulfill the role as the lovable heroine of Tamil audiences.. as Vijay played a vital role - only his stability shows as half cooked, but as on today no one can replace the place of genelia, other than this actress no one wil be better to this role which the first half heroine done in this movie.As in vijay's movie songs wil be the vital things, as we see the making of the song "yendi,yendi" vijay looks smart in the blue shirt, but in the real picture - due to some glamors - we are unable to watch the song know..with family.Please producers & Directors - please select the people who wil be liked by the Tamil audiences & make the movie much more better.

Special Thanks for VIJAY for doing this kind of movie totally contrast to his MASS appeal..People who gives negatives about the film is totally disagree. Firstly we should have the mind to appreciate new things what they have achieved and support their effort. If don't have such mindset please don't speak up ! The film has fantastic CG work which is not lesser to Hollywood movies maybe 80% they have achieved ! Hats Off The movie lacks in Storyline and screenplay - Yes ! Director could have tried to keep the storyline simple and make the Visual grandeur. So people says there is no content, they have worked out 100% for Visual magic here..Also for a Fantasy adventure movie, you cannot expect Performance oriented or concept oriented. Its fun filled ride for families and kids - A Visual treat ! Music is not up-to the mark - Yes. The fault is there in Music department totally which doesn't gel with the fantasy genre ..Also director tried to make a Tamil film which has Hollywood movie flavor, Hence its a first time people watching this, they feel its not up-to what they expected..Apart from the General audience, people who hates Vijay started making fun out of this film and his effort is surely underestimated.Vijay's commitment and hard work totally is Commendable! Way to go.. Younger generation actors will follow his path..There is lot of loop holes in story but no blame for the effort ! MUST WATCH if you are a General audience.. Even Vijay Haters will Love this kind of Film, especially Kids..PULI - One of its Kind in Tamil Cinema A RARE ROAR in Tamil Cinema....Welcome FANTASY Genre in Indian Cinema - Future will have more of this kind for sure..
