Roopak Vachali This is one of my favourite malayalam comedy movies. Good comic timing by all the actors in this movie. Somehow could not appreciate the Hindi version Hungama. Any malayalees who have see Hungama, but not the malaylam version, then it is highly recommended to see this original version.Sukumari, Nedumudi Venu, Shankar, Mohan Lal, Sreenivasan, Kudravattu Pappu, Soman and others all have done an excellent job of playing their characters to the hilt. Its a comedy of errors and with multiple plots.Watch this version to roll with laughter.
smits Everything about this movie is fantastic: the script, the acting, the story. It was even remade in Hindi (called 'Hungama') in 2003 and directed by Priyadarshan himself. It was remade scene for scene. For those seeing the Hindi version first would enjoy the clever storyline and performances. Akshaye Khanna and Paresh Rawal are good. HOWEVER, the Malayalam version is far, far better! It's got a star cast: Mohanlal, Menaka, Jagathi Sreekumar, Sukumari, Nedumudi Venu. Not to mention all the other side actors! It's too good! The songs are catchy. The climax has got to be one of the funniest ever. I believe this was Priyadarshan's first film. Don't miss this one - even if you have seen the Hindi version!
