Well, I live in the far up north and I know what snow is like. This is what snow is like, this is how our accent's like, this is how our style's like. Oh really, is it? Well, I'll try not to entirely spoil the true secrets about the bohemian lifestyle of Laponians, but the movie was a great sum up. Lennar Jähkel is a great up-north actor, that's for sure. However, I couldn't drop his character from "Jägarna" when I saw this movie, plus my friend's babbling on about this movie from high school (when it first was released) couldn't stop echoing through my head. However, fun movie with not such interesting plot, but what could be interesting when you're in the middle of nowhere, really?

Recap: Stor-Erik is dead, and his funeral has just been held. Now, Jan-Erik and Olle is expecting the big inheritance from their famous father. But that's all a big lie, and when Sven-Erik confesses, the once so close brothers face their biggest challenge. Olle builds a monument to his father, Jan-Erik takes off, and Sven-Erik is contemplating suicide. But Jan-Erik returns, after almost freezing to death, with a little baby girl. If there was a strain in the relations among the brothers before, a crying baby won't make it any better. And something big and menacing is lurking in the dark...Comments: If you have seen the series, and enjoyed it, you will find this to your liking too. But a little red flag should be raised! The material and jokes aren't really enough to fill the entire movie, and some parts become too slow and a little dull. And some parts resemble Three Men and a Little Baby too much. But still, the characteristic jokes and fun from the series is there. And there is a dance-scene - but unfortunately only one.Good performances from the (small) cast. Especially Jähkel (and Sven-Erik) is a favourite of mine.If you are new to Pistvakt, this might be a nice introduction to the series, which is better. If you have seen the series, your call...6/10
