Synopsis

"Pas vu, pas pris" starts with a subject filmed 2 years ago ; ordered then forbidden to broadcasting by Canal + : it was "Pas vu à la télé". Bernard Benyamin, Henri de Virieux, Patrick de Carolis, Anne Sinclair, Charles Villeneuve (amongst others) appear before the candid camera of Pierre Carles, for once subjected to an investigation that concerns their profession. After proclaiming that there is no taboo subject on television, they discover a pirate document showing Étienne Moujeotte and François Léotard in a business discussion about the destinies of TF1. Question asked : would they have agreed to broadcast this document and if not, why not ? The investigation itself is objectively searching : anything can be said on TV except one thing, the more or less close collusion of journalists and the political powers. Pierre Carles gives us a sharp reflection on the scope of this "fourth power" that the media have become, and on the compromises of those who are its masters.

Reviews

bidochon Watch this documentary, that was only aired on Belgium TV. Ordered by Canal+, they chickened out when their own journalists, supposedly non-partisan people work at Canal+, were victims of Pierre Carles. It is good to see how persistent Pierre Carles was when making the documentary. It will cost him a lot if he still tries to work for the french medias. It is all too clear when you watch this documentary how all TV journalists are biased, and always show you the "news" with their own interests... and so on. Just enjoy.I hope to see more work like that, and also from him.
jf-8 This is a documentary about relationships between french TV journalists and politicians. By interviewing big TV news stars, Pierre Carles shows how much these journalists are afraid of making real investigations against politicians, how much they live in the same world. He denounces their lack of objectiveness. This documentary was firstly shot for a french TV chanel, "Canal +", but it was so aggressive against TV stars that Canal +' direction refused to show it. Thanks to a newspaper, money was found to allow this movie to be seen !
