Prismark10 Rex has a reputation with the rest of the toys has a party pooper. When he is taken to the bath and left behind in the bathroom with the other bath toys. Rex sees an opportunity to flip his reputation to that of Partysaurus Rex.As the other bath toys do not have limbs, Rex turns the water back on and foams it up while the rest party to the beat until it all overflows.A nice funky beat and with neon visuals make this an enjoyable toy toon short.
Gordon-11 This animated short film tells the story of Rex who accidentally messes up his friend's party. He gets called "Party Pooper Rex" soon afterwards. Hence, he decides to become "Partysaurus Rex".The story is very simple, but it is really fun. The music is energetic and uplifting, the lights are psychedelic and there is even foam! The bathtub party is so epic that I wish I was there. Now I need to watch a film about epic parties of mega proportions!
MartinHafer "Toy Story" has recently spawned several short films and I have enjoyed them all. While "Partysaurus Rex" is gorgeously animated (probably better than the previous ones), the story is paper-thin. This is not to say it's not enjoyable--but it certainly is not a must-see.The film, not surprisingly, is about Rex. He's one of many toys that Bonnie loves to play with in the tub. And, after Bonnie leaves, the toys all come to life and party. And, the leader of this group of toys is Rex.The biggest worry in this little film? How will Rex turn off the water so the place isn't flooded! Not much of a conflict. But the characters are cute, the CGI is great and kids will no doubt love it. For adults, however, it's just a trifle.
Neil Welch Partysaurus Rex is a 3D Toy Story short which precedes the 3D reworking of Finding Nemo. In it, the chronically anxious plastic dinosaur Rex (voiced by Wallace Shawn), dismissed as a party pooper by those toys who have known him for ever, accidentally finds himself transformed into a party animal by the bathtime toys. Colourful chaos ensues.Much as I love Pixar and the Toy Story franchise, this is particularly slight stuff. There is little story, the gags are OK but not great, and the 3D is not wonderful. Don't get me wrong: it's OK - it's very bright and colourful and, as expected, great to look at - but the Toy Story people have done much better.
