Synopsis

A documentary about Soulwax: Director Saam Farahmand filmed Soulwax on their recent international dates, capturing all the excitement, chaos and humour of the world tour. Where the Beastie Boys filmed one gig with 50 cameras, Soulwax filmed 120 shows with one camera, in Europe, Japan, US, Latin America and Australia. The result is a snapshot of life on the road with one of the most exciting live bands in the world, and features their friends including 2manyDJ's, James Murphy & Nancy Whang (LCD Soundsystem), Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Busy P, So-Me, Peaches, Klaxons and many more in interview, as well as behind-the-scenes footage, and LOTS of music.

Reviews

jeroen achterberg A not to miss road doc for fans of Ghent rock and DJ formation Soulwax/too many DJ's. The Waele brothers are fast rising stars and entertain their audience with a mix of rock and dance. The (not-)rockstars are funny and show you their life on the road. The tour takes you across many cities around the world. Don't expect discussions or in-depth interviews. The doc is like the band; easy going and approachable. The opening scenes of the film are very funny are different then you might expect. With some more background information and in-depth interviews the doc would have been even more interesting. What started to irritate me after a while was the fact that the same images were shot and displayed. Even though the shots were from different gigs and performances. The concept started to repeat itself. In my opinion the director or editor should have done a better job.
