I viewed on a 1080i Hi-Def channel, and was very impressed with the film. It expressed a very compelling and emotional POV, and this is coming from someone who is not a pilot and never had a desire to be one. The imagery and message was compelling nonetheless and I can understand the passion the filmmaker must have had for this subject. The film told a very unique story, which all messaging should do. But it was accomplished with such great detail and humanity, that it left a great impression with me. If you or anyone you know has an affection for general aviation, please make sure they see this. It not only establishes a history of flying but makes a great case for the value of local airports. I'm so grateful that people with this level of passion and talent get to tell stories like this and that I get to see and hear them.

As a longtime pilot and aviation enthusiast, I was awestruck by "One Six Right" the first time I saw it. It is a magnificent tribute to general aviation. Brian Terwilliger is an outstanding filmmaker! He clearly has an enormous passion for aviation. I've never seen such beautiful aerial photography in my life and the editing of current and historic footage was perfectly done. The thing that really set off the visuals was the story of Van Nuys airport. For all general aviation pilots, we recognize the history of Van Nuys as the history of our local airports. The wonderful thing about general aviation is that this story is really the story of all small airports - the joy pilots feel about "kicking the tires and lighting the fires" and the struggles the airport endures as urban sprawl encroaches ("nobody ever built an airport in the middle of a housing development"). Thanks for truly superb movie with all the dimensions of modern general aviation. Please re-release it on BluRay as soon as possible.

As a pilots wife (he flies the 777 for Continental Airlines) it's not always easy to compete with his love of all things airworthy and airborne. Watching One Six Right and the other films made by this outstanding team, has brought me a greater understanding of my husbands love of aviation, and in fact, has brought me closer to my husband.I think this wonderful movie should be required viewing for anyone considering a career in flying. Ya gotta love it to keep it alive! I also think a lot of aviators wives would gain a better understanding of their partners if they too took a look. It's true you know; the engine may be the heart of the airplane, but the Pilot is the soul! With great thanks for an outstanding video, Lori Lamb Peoria, AZ

I just watched this film in HD at home today. There is NO better way to watch this film. The opening sequence showing the juxtaposition of historical vs current footage actually brought tears to my eyes. One Six Right brought the same emotions to me as when I flew myself to the Wright Brothers Memorial in North Carolina. The beauty and passion so many people feel about aviation is perfectly exemplified throughout the film. More than a documentary, 16 Right tells the story of general aviation in America today. There are protagonists (Van Nuys Airport), antagonists (Mayor Daley and his wife), and tragic heroes (Meigs Field in Chicago). All of that, and one thing I didn't notice right away... in a community where jargon is the modus operandi, I never heard ANY jargon. If you have never flown an airplane, visited an airport, or even watched AIRPLANE! you can still enjoy this film. 10 out of 10 for story, color, sound, and lots and lots of airplanes.
