Paying respect to a film by trying to remake it DOES NOT always pan out. This is the case with the 2009 version of Night of the Demons. Being a smaller than normal budget film and having to mediocre stars in Furlong and Elizabeth as leads did nothing for this movie. In my honest opinion NOT a very good film choice for Shannon Elizabeth. The first film in 1988 scores an almost 7 out of 10 with originality and this barely hits 5.
The plot is generic as college age kids party at an abandoned house that has a haunting secret. Typical scenario as police raid and bust party and half dozen young adults get locked inside. They roam the house, find strange markings, skeletons in a secret room and demonic hell results. The dialogue is bland, full of "f***s" and "s***s", the acting is tragically phoned in and there is no scare tact at all.
It is a simple supposed to be gore fest that fails at most levels. I would NOT recommend but if in need for a filler for the afternoon you can watch this flat remake of a 1988 cult classic. 4/10

Perhaps 10 stars is a bit overrated for most viewers, but I liked what they did and tried to do. Scream Queen Linnea Quigley who made the original "Night of the Demons," the horror classic it has become, returns to us in her famous ballerina costume and gives us an encore bow. Three girls go to a Halloween Party at a haunted mansion. They enter the mansion with swagger music from Concrete Blonde's Vampire Song. The infamous lipstick scene, which made the first movie a classic, is re-enacted. The original sexy dance is replaced by Shannon Elizabeth deep throating a bottle and dancing with another girl. Unfortunately there is no love making in a coffin, a classic scene from the original. There is gratuitous sex and nudity and a British bad guy with the stereotypical name Nigel. It is not as good as the original. I will say that it is better than many of the horror remakes of this age (Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street. Last House on the Left etc.). Personally I would have loved to have seen Linnea Quigley in a larger role. Simulated sex, simulated oral sex, nudity, the f-bomb, and some decent rave music. The plot is simple. We get a bunch of drunk kids in a haunted mansion. The cops stop the party. A core group stays behind, but then gets locked in. Eventually they make it to the basement and discover a secret room with skeletons. Angelina sticks her finger in one of the skeletons and gets bit. She becomes infected, (demon bites are apparently like zombie bites)and you know the rest.

Night of the Demons (2009) is a horror film from the United States and directed by Adam Gierasch. Is a remake of an 80's horror movie entitled the same. Telling about halloween night, 7 people partying in a very large and known haunted Mansion, supernatural things began to happen to turn them into horrible monsters. 3 people who managed to survive that is, Jason, Collin, and Maddie have to wait until the sun rises and get out of that cursed place. Night Of The Demons horror movie is quite creepy, thrilling, funny, and Vulgar .. I like this movie because the movie is good in my opinion, the monsters are horrible monsters, good acting, the lack of this movie there are only indecent scenes. And the others remain cool and awesome!

I really enjoyed this film, good effects good acting good plot,of course the first one was better but get over it already, we need to see some new stuff, when i saw the new nightmare on elm street without Robert England i almost had a heart attack...then i got over it...So if you want to see a good horror flick watch this and you wont regret it,i didn't and neither did my friends,it was fun it was funny it was a bit scary it was good!Furlong was pretty good,Monika was better before her lip surgery,Bobby Sue was a bomb and Diora was pretty and i think that she is way better with the blonde hair not the brown.I really liked the Jason character because he was calm and innocent,Shannon was okay but i prefer her without all that Gothic dark bad look,i really liked the original Angela from the original movie, now that was one hell of a costume and really scary, where did that actress go?She wasn't in the second movie and that was a shame because she was a great Angela!!
