Gory tale of Bigfoot, this made the infamous Video Nasties list here in Britain in the mid 1980's. To date it has only since been released on disc heavily cut but I'm certain that in these more enlightened times it would now be passed by the BBFC uncut. This film is a guilty pleasure of mine. Yes, the acting is as wooden as the trees in the forest, the dialogue is cringe worthy & the effects certainly aren't very special (though plentiful). Bigfoot himself is obviously a big man dressed up in a hairy costume. But what I like is that the many gory deaths are quite imaginative (especially the poor biker who stops to take a pee, only to be deprived of his manhood - ouch!), it's fast paced, throws in some sex and black magic, has an eerie soundtrack & is just good fun. Certainly one of the more enjoyable "Nasties"

This is one of those movies that you hear about from that one weird friend when you bring up your movie tastes. This is one of the more bizarre titles that I have seen. It starts out in a hospital setting and then presses on into a weird title crawl where we see the sights of the late seventies and beginning of the eighties. The music is strange, but the sights we do see our pleasant. It opens with such sweet scenes from mother nature, and then immediately were introduced to our new friend the killer Sasquatch. The only reason to really watch this movie is for the murder scenes. They are completely over the top, funny, and filled with just the right amount of nudity. The rest is just a bunch of nonsense where everyone walks around in flannel shirts, literally everybody in the woods is wearing a flannel. The pacing this movie has is also a problem, it drags on when dealing with the people and you really just want it to end and for Bigfoot to come back and murder people. The weirdest scene itself is when a man on a motorcycle comes by and just takes a leak on the side of the woods and Bigfoot comes out and rips his junk off and you see everything in all its glory. The movie tries to go for a lot of shock value, and at times it works. A rape scene is thrown in with Bigfoot and a random girl, it comes straight out of left field. This girl gets beaten senseless by her father for being impure in the eyes of God, and then she gets raped. In any other movie it would be the father getting what he deserves, but this movie just takes a dramatic turn. Bottom line, this movie is weird I tell you. From the pleasant music that just sounds completely out of place to the slow pacing and grotesque kills of Bigfoot. Its a mediocre movie at best, but if you really think its something for you, check it out.

This 1980 horror film stars Michael Cutt, Melanie Graham and Shane Dixon. Cutt plays college professor, Bill Nugent who has just survived a terrible ordeal. He tells his story to doctors about a Bigfoot (Dixon) that attacked him and his students in the wilderness. He also reveals there was a woman, Wanda McGinty (Graham) who was raped by the monster and had it's baby that her father killed after. This is like a bad student film about Bigfoot that I only give points for it's nice surroundings and bloody effects. The monster isn't scary, there's lousy acting and the film should've had a different title. I only recommend this if you're into cheesy horror or creature features.

Night of the Demon is one of the infamous video nasties that was banned in Britain. It was finally released in 1994 with 1 minute and 41 seconds cut. It became most famous for its depictions of castration, dismemberment, stabbings and disemboweling. The description tells you this is a gory version of Bigfoot. What it doesn't tell you is how funny it can be. In the second attack, two people are going at it in their van in the woods when Bigfoot pulls the man out of the van and bloodies him up. The girl (Jennifer West) is all naked and screaming at the sight of her bloodied lover. I swear her screams sounded like she was having an orgasm.Bigfoot grabs another camper, still in his sleeping bag, and twirls him round and round before throwing him into a tree with a broken branch. You might want to watch where you whip it out to relieve yourself. You never know what's in the bushes, and you might lose some valuable equipment. They find Crazy Wanda (Melanie Graham), who was raped by Bigfoot, and had it's baby. Of course Bigfoot came by and the real carnage began.Picture is fuzzy most of the time, and the acting is not that great. Music is irritating, but there is a lot of blood for the nasty fans.
