This powerful true story is a great reminder of what is important in life: faith, love, family, caring for others, and following your dreams. Watching Terry Hitchcock's journey, both in life and through his 75 marathons in 75 days, is heartwarming. His passion for bringing attention to the challenges of single parent families is inspiring. It was also nice to see the beauty of America was captured wonderfully throughout the film. I had a bonus connection when I heard that Terry & his wife Sue met at my alma mater, Bowling Green. My Run doesn't sugar coat the difficulties of what Terry and his family faced in their lives, or in the grueling run. So glad I took the time to see this movie.

Terry Hitchcock's story is a story about a very sincere and good family man who despite doctors, friends, the media and everyone else in between telling him he couldn't do the run, Terry believed in himself and did the run for single parent families at all costs. It is a true story of trials and tribulations of Terrys personal and business life.Imagine running from Minneapolis to Atlanta...2,000 miles on foot. Terry tells the story of that journey and the cool people he met and things he saw along the way.Terry strikes me as a guy who doesn't just talk the talk... he walks the walk.. He says "Nothing is impossible" and proved it in his own life before telling others they can do the same. This is a heartfelt, emotional and truly inspirational clean and family friendly movie I will be buying it when the DVD comes out!

My Run has everything! and Something for everyone. Whether you're a runner or struggling just to get to the gym, it doesn't matter. This movie is about the frailties and strengths of simply being human and wanting to do something that's greater than you are. If it's goal is inspiration it succeeds! If it's goal is helping forge connections between people, it succeeds! I'd recommend it to anyone. It's an incredibly well balanced representation of what it means to strive to leave a positive impact on the world. This is the story of a man, who after a tragic loss committed himself to raising awareness to the trials and tribulations of single parents everywhere, in an astonishing way. By pushing his own emotional, physical, and psychological limits and running the equivalent of a marathon (26 miles) every day for 75 days consecutively! Truly this is an inspiring story!

I saw My Run at the Austin Film Festival, and I was completely captivated by Terry Hitchcock's story. The way that the film was put together really brings you into the honest, real experience of a man who is courageously processing the loss of his wife to cancer. It was refreshing to see a documentary that wasn't cheesy fluff that's trying to pull on your heartstrings. On the contrary, it's an authentic, inspiring documentary of a man who is processing his grief with incredible determination. I am still blown away that, with little training, he ran a marathon a day. Unbelievable. This film truly captures the tenacity and vulnerability of a brave human being in the face of the unthinkable.
