TheLittleSongbird 'Most Likely to Die' drew me into seeing it, with a cool poster/cover, an intriguing and quite creative premise and as someone with a general appreciation for horror. That it was low-budget, which from frequent personal experience is rarely a good sign due to that there are so many poor ones out there, made me though apprehensive. It is sadly however yet another film seen recently, hence some reiteration because the exact same strengths and flaws are here present in those films, that to me was incredibly disappointing considering its potential which it doesn't do anywhere near enough with. 'Most Likely to Die' is terrible, with a plethora of problems (huge ones too) and doesn't do enough with its potential, which was hardly small. There is very little to recommend, but still a couple of qualities in 'Most Likely to Die'.Lets start with the positives. The scenery is atmospheric and spooky, despite the rather direct to video schlocky way it's generally shot (apart from the odd nice one) and edited, it was very clear that the film was made in a rush with no care or enthusiasm. Best thing about 'Most Likely to Die' actually is the ending when the film finally gets intriguing, even then it feels too little too late.Going on further to the negatives, the story does feel over-stretched and some of it feels vague, under-explained in the last third where the film especially became duller, more predictable, more senseless and less scary and never gaining momentum. Too many characters are too sketchy and with nowhere near enough to make one want to endear to them. Their annoying and illogical decision making and behaviours frustrates. Making the film feel bland and forgettable with not enough heart put into it. The effects are ropy at best, the sound quality is obvious and utilised cheaply (being too loud in the build ups and people's reactions) and all of the acting is lacking, especially from Perez Hilton. For a slasher, there are far too little kills and slasher elements and none are creative or scary.Dialogue can be stilted and rambling while the pace and film drags on forever, never recovering until finally getting intriguing to the ending. Found too many the supposedly shocking moments not surprising or scary and the supposedly creepy atmosphere dreary, due to the excessive obviousness, a lot of dumb and vague moments and explanations and the lack of tension and suspense. A lot of 'Most Likely to Die' has underdeveloped plot elements and often nonsensical and confusing character motivations, while too many of the things to make you jump or shocked are far from creative or scary and are pretty tame. There is not enough threat here and what there is of it tends to be used poorly, while the psychological elements are unimaginative and are more odd than scary, completely failing to show any sense of horror. Some badly sagging momentum too. The direction is leaden, got the sense their heart was not in it, and the music doesn't really fit.Concluding, terrible. 2/10 Bethany Cox
Mateo_S09 When I was about to start the movie, I had a clear idea of what I was going to find, but it turned out much worse. Not only I can highlight the unoriginal plot that this movie has, but also the bad execution of it by the actors, especially Perez Hilton (the one that completely ruined the movie), who made me cringe over and over with his fake reactions and exaggerated gestures. However, there is no awful acting alone, overacting is seen in most part of the movie, which made me believe I was in a poor remake of "Scary Movie".I could not connect or empathize with the characters either. They were boring, had superficial development, and some of them had nothing to contribute to the movie's plot beyond their unimportant death. This movie can be summarized in a death-after-death plot, with non-coherent actions and decisions taken by the characters that reminds you how unrealistic this is, and an excess of dialogue in senseless conversations that leads to pure boredom. The only reason I am giving this movie two stars instead of one, is because it was actually well filmed and the quality of the shots was actually really good. Some scary scenes that add a little bit of suspense to the movie. I do not recommend this movie to lovers of the genre... or to anyone in general. Just another movie more of the bunch.
zombiefan89 This is the most cookie cutter slasher I've ever seen! It is so predictable, I thought it was going to be a spoof! There is not a shred of originality to be found in this film! There are some scenes that are borderline plagiarism! Every single kill and especially the "shocking twist" is ripped from better films! Even the murder weapon wasn't original! And finally, the characters are so generic, I can't honestly remember any of their names! Don't waste your time!
Eddie Cantillo Most Likely to Die(2015) Starring: Heather Morris,Ryan Doom, Perez Hilton, Chad Addison, Tatum Miranda, Jake Busey, Marci Miller, and Skyler Vallo Directed By: Anthony DiBlasi Review ONE KILLER REUNION. Hello Kiddies your Pal The Crypt-Critic here is back, with nothing but a fresh bag of disappointment. If these horror films are going to be stupid at least have fun but no I did not. A group of former classmates gather for a pre-party at one of their homes the night before their 10-year high school reunion, and one by one, they are brutally slain in a manner befitting each's senior yearbook superlative. It's basically a cabin in the woods movie but with no unique twist or enough killer action to satisfy or entertain you. The film was not scary or even funny in the slightest it's just basically the Friday The 13th remake, only 100 times worse. The direction from Anthony Diblasi is awful, he couldn't make a fun slasher movie to save his life. This is movie is just downright boring, tedious and stupid. In the words of a great critic, "I hated this movie, hated hated hated this movie!"
