This has got to be one of the most intense and fascinating documentaries (or movies in any genre really) I have seen in quite some time. And though I do not want to use the word gross or disturbing, I cannot think of words that would convey the opposite of just how powerful, mesmerizing, and interesting this movie is. Yes, there are shots of private parts (but for some reason you do not see these shots as sexual while watching the movie) and some procedures that got even me blurring my eyes out (and I have a very strong stomach) or looking somewhat away. But overall this movie shows us that body modification comes in many forms, from something as simple as makeup to what some would deem mutilation. And it also shows that those who do "extreme" body modification are not that different from most everyone else around. So the next time I see someone with what society judges as evil or wrong I will think twice about who this person is and why they chose to do what they did. Bottom line: If you are not doing something illegal, immoral, or harming someone or something, then what's there to fuss about? Do check this movie out.

As a person who has a few friends into body modification/art however you choose to call it I was interested in renting this documentary. First I will say I'm glad it's unedited and at times considerably graphic but I'd imagine if you are interested in this film in the first place you are aware of this and won't be a baby about it.Being familiar with the more graphic types of modification through websites like bmezine and random websites I loosely knew about the more extreme ones. It's interesting to hear first-hand accounts of people who have done some of the extreme modifications but the film never really went past much depth except for "what is modification?" "what is the line between modification & mutilation?" and the overall idea of "it's your body you should be able to do whatever you want with it." All pretty typical fanfare of someone interested in this topic. I didn't learn anything new or encountered some new idea. It did entertain me, good introduction to the modification world but beyond that it belongs on the history channel for casual viewers.

I recently viewed this movie it gives a great in depth view into the lives of people that breathe eat live and sleep for tattoos piercing body modification and more, its real and uncut. i was browsing my-space and chatted with one of the people that was in the movie a professional piercer from Los Angeles named "TRIGGER" he recommended the movie to me and I'm glad he did i really had no idea about how deeply involved these people were in this scene. if you like real life documentaries i would highly recommend this film to you..I really enjoyed watching the movie even though there are certain parts that were a Lil too much for me but maybe thats because i personally don't have any tattoos or piercing my self, but if you don't have any type of piercing tattoos or any kind of body modification i would strongly recommend that you watch this movie for yourself before you decide to do anything. thanks for your time.

This is by far the most well done Documentary about body modification. A true work of art! All of the Stars in the movie really get to express their true feelings on the topics of Modification v.s Mutilation, Religion, the laws of body modification and addiction. This movie also explores the underground world of extreme body art and everything from Make-Up to gender Reassignment, Modify has it all!!!!!! Not to mention an epic Soundtrack of all original material that really puts the cherry on top of this Film. Modify is a must see for anyone who is even the slightest bit intrigued by the many different types of body modification. This one gets a Well Deserved 10!
