Following his father's footsteps, the son of Fred Olen Ray directs a cheap (produced by the infamous Asylum), undemanding, tasteless (the mass massacre of the female captives was totally unnecessary) but energetic action film. It's supposed to be a team effort, but Zoe Bell carries the heaviest load of the action, and she's still a force to be reckoned with. If you're a fan of hers, you might want to give this one a look (Kristanna Loken still looks good also - wish I could say the same for Brigitte Nielsen...). But feel free to fast forward through all of the "conversation" scenes in the middle. ** out of 4.

look... Asylum movies fall into these categories.. 1) really bad or 2) so bad they're entertainingbut this one actually exceeds expectations and is worth a watch. is it great? no. but for a one time hour and a half time waster, sure, give it a go, I wasn't upset that I watched it... if your a picky person, give it a pass, if you just want some mindless entertainment, give it a go...The acting is decent for an Asylum movie, the story is plausible (somewhat) and it's probably the best film ever produced by "Asylum" that I've seen, and I watch many of them! I'm twisted that way...

A truly horrible knockoff of The A-Team on Premarin. A terrible plan, with no hope of success, badly executed. On their own the actresses might have pulled it off... as in faintly interesting with enough alcohol - but with no direction over no plot where is the hope. Try this with some suicidal pals - every body gets in a double wide garage with AK-47's and fires 700 rounds each - at each other - OK? Ha Ha I fooled ya - it's the A-Team on Midol!!! No one gets hit - not even grazed! Cause after all they're all 8 feet apart!! Ha Ha can't hit a standing target!! Fox takes a hostage 4 feet from Clay and escapes - hello - shoot her in the brain stem all gone! Once again a movie not worth a review but cheaper than therapy...

When the president's daughter is kidnapped by a female warlord (Brigitte Nielsen) in a former Soviet republic, a CIA agent (Cynthia Rothrock) decides to send 4 dangerous female criminals to the rescue: Clay (Zoë Bell), Kat (Kristanna Loken), Raven (Vivica A. Fox) and Mei-Lin (Nicole Bilderback). I'm not sure if that is the standard procedure, but it has to work as time is running out...This is an Asylum production, directed by Christopher Ray ('2 Headed Shark Attack'). From these credits, you don't expect too much, but the basic idea works: similar to Stallone's 'Expendables', they take a team of outcasts for a dangerous mission, but this time, it's female. The presence of Nielsen and Rothrock reminds you that a female action hero is nothing new, but a whole team of them guarantees some fun, even if the production value in general is very low - the rare case of a mock-buster that's actually adding something new.
