Synopsis

This conservative documentary from John Ziegler poses a conspiratorial theory that President Obama was elected through mischievous actions by the media. As part of his theory, Ziegler posits that the press had to put forth a partisan agenda in order to portray vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin as inept and pandering.

cricketbat Anyone who thinks that the media is unbiased should watch this documentary. Media Malpractice does a good job of displaying how much the news outlets worshiped Obama and attacked Palin in 2008. It's not a great documentary - the editing and pacing are amateurish - but it exposes the problem of biased media and calls for better reporting and actual journalism. This film isn't anti-Obama, it's anti-favoritism in what is supposed to be objective news reporting.
maxskyfan-9 PlotThe film sets the scene with Obama as an unknown entity and then as President of the United States in a short montage with music and video clips and audio while an electrocardiograph machine records the sound of a heartbeat steadily going into distress. Once the heartbeat flat lines it is off to the races with examples of media malfeasance showcasing video clips and an interview with Sarah Palin and others. A steady stream of incidents was given that show that the Media simply did not do its job. Someone in the course of events tries to give the excuse that the media was so focused on Hillary Clinton winning and because of this the Media was blindsided by Obama who they didn't bother to investigate and do any due diligence on. Their main focus was making this out to be a horse race for the public and generate some good rating. They didn't realize that they were creating a monster.Character DevelopmentOne damning thing after another, there seemed like there is no stopping it and I didn't know if I could take it all in one sitting.ActingNo Acting. This was a documentary with interviews.OverviewIt is unbelievable how the Media can square it with themselves that they have done their jobs well, just watching the last 5 minutes of this film with the Obama supporters showed that the media only highlighted the positive side of Obama and the negative side of Palin. Even when it was the plain and simple truth that Palin could see Russia from off the coast of Alaska. This didn't matter when the Media thought that they could make her into a laughingstock and get even the dimmest people on the planet repeating it. How they would publish countless glamor shots of Obama with glowing articles that are so saccharine they give you a sugar rush while they endless ridiculed Palin senselessly at the same time. They really didn't know when enough was enough. Even when the McCain campaign tried to fight back they were call racist and mean- spirited, but they weren't being obvious racists; they were using "code words". In a sane world someone couldn't make this stuff up because it would be too fanciful. There is no way you can watch this film and not become overwhelmed by this calamity that is known as the Media. What happened about being impartial? On some level the Media has got to know that the average Joe knows that they are in the tank for Obama, yet it would seem that they don't care. That must be the case when they have Bill Maher, a man who gave one million dollars of his own money to the Obama campaign, commentate on the evening news about Sarah Palin. With men like Martin Luther King Jr., Booker T. Washington and Frederick Douglass; why America would have to be saddled with and settle for a man like Barack Hussein Obama as her first black President is a colossal joke and the worst case of affirmative action and the steepest price to pay for reparations that could ever be considered.
