This is one of those Romanian movies that seem to address only a Romanian audience. People from abroad may perceive it as having an incomplete ending or even as being an unconventional love story. No, it is not a love story, at least from the main hero's perspective. It is rather a story about prostitution industry", explaining how young women get trapped into such a slavery and eventually they are killed (it happened to the first girl but I'm afraid it is quite difficult to make the right connections between her and prostitution). *** One may have the big image only at the end of the movie. Until then it looks like a boring collection of scenes not related to each other; nevertheless there is a good solid plot. As a weakness, the story is not quite convincing and it's hard to understand the reasons of the girl's behavior. Altogether, it's a good movie and I recommend it to all Romanians (and to foreigners as well).

LoverBoy – TRASH IT (C+) After watching George Pistereanu & Ada Condeescu debut performance in critically acclaimed Romanian movie" Eu cand vreau sa fluier, fluier". I was really eager to watch George Pistereanu in LoverBoy in an unconventional love story. Before watching this I didn't knew it stars Ada Condeescu as well which was a pleasant surprise. But sadly an unconventional and sensitive concept about a young boy luring young girls for selling them in human trafficking and using them as prostitutes is amateurishly filmed. The boy pimping his girlfriend as prostitute is a riveting topic but it's not understandable how none of the girls ever mention him to police. He is good-looking for sure but not worth ruining your life as prostitutes. Anyways ,George Pistereanu know how to plays reckless teen as he has already done in" Eu cand vreau sa fluier, fluier", the difference is only he has longer hair now and he is out of prison. Ada Condeescu is not your typical hot girl but she is surely exotic. Their chemistry and sex scenes are the only good part of the movie I believe otherwise the movie is pretty tedious and nor hard-core or soft-core. With an incomplete ending, the only thing you remember is George Pistereanu and Ada Condeescu hot&heavy. I hope their next venture won't be sooo disappointing.

I wrote this review before reading any other. It's a must (to watch) for a Romanian, for any man, especially for any (potential or real) prostitute client, for any girl too young at mind, too poor, too far from school, too good looking for the neighborhood. It remembers what my school teacher told me: beauty in art it's not beauty in life. The movie really turned me on.I have seen it once, I do not know if I am man enough to watch it twice. It's not the happy -end stile, like 'Taken".It's very realistic, in the sense of the the famous Italian-neorealism.I know well the location where it was filmed But I walked only at the surface of that land. It's a poor and rather uninhabited county, economically dead, lost somewhere between the end of Danube and the Black Sea.I used to go for sport fishing there. I did not realize what was strange there, above the solitude. Now I realize: I have seen characters like in the movie, but no girls or young and good looking women. But at news, once-twice/year , there are told stories about young girls missing, never to be found, or found drowned in the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Station Channel. The movie tells about an horrible form of manipulation, changing and twisting personality , that I find worse then physical or psychological violence. It's a sad story. The movie made me feel sick, like "Se7en".A plus for the physical love scenes, absolutely realistic, equal to any other famous ones (maybe at the intensity of Last Tango in Paris, or Rocco And His Brothers). A+ for the main female character, B for the (lover)boy; must improve his talking, sounds artificial and obscurely.

Wanna watch a good romanian movie? Skip this one...Better watch Philanthropic; Poker; At money, head, bone; Wedding in Basarabia; Hi!What do you do?; Websitestory; Love Sick; 17 - A story about destiny(TV series). I would enjoy a good romanian movie but I don't seem to find any... we have a special talent to finish badly every movie we make... romanian movies and Japanese horror movies are the most likely movies to leave you a bitter aftertaste because you realize that you lost precious minutes of your life with a movie that doesn't deserve it... I watch romanian films on a regular basis, at least the titles that seem interesting...generally I am disappointed...I can count on the fingers from both hands literally the ones that have left a good impression on me...Loverboy is not one of those movies, unfortunately I have to draw this conclusion, I had high expectations for this movie and in the end I saw only a few sex scenes not even very good ones, just some cruel brutal intercourse, and some bare tits and ass from under the sheets...really disappointing...the only scenes that I liked are the ones with Vely and Luke living together and the beginning of their love, a love between a teenage punk and a kind-hearted young girl abused by her father...at one point I thought something changed in Luke, like he became a better person and begin to care for her...but I was quite wrong I guess, because it seems that he finally chooses to do what he does best...he does his job even if he feels something for her he chooses the job and money over love, becoming a monster even though he said at one point he doesn't want to be one...he is good at seducing young girls and then manipulate them to become call girls and they end up dead or just destroying their lives...or that does not change even when he finds a girl that he really likes...That really ruined the whole movie for me...Everything would make a better finale than that...
