It been more than a year since i saw Love Undercover 1. The movie i remember was not that great at all. I didn't like Daniel Wu at that time because his Cantonese sucks and the storyline didn't interest me. Though i did though all the supporting cast was good. Back than i probably watch all the good thing and i had high expectation for this movie which disappoint me. Well now i watch a lot of romantic comedy and am ready to see this with low expectation. I must say this movie was very funny, funnier than the first. Except Raymond Wong's role, he got wasted in this movie. I gotta admit the storyline is kind of stupid, but it set itself well at the end, when everything connected. The part of the movie that i hate the most is what are those police doing all day? All i see them doing is helping Daniel Wu's dad out, i don't think they are even on duty. Though i have to admit, Daniel Wu dad three old school buddies who just gotten out of jail, they were hilarious. Better than the main plot line it seen. The bad guy in this movie seem very serious in the beginning but at the end they look pretty goofy. Especially his band of thieves. You can tell in this movie Daniel Wu Cantonese has gotten a lot better between the two movie. I think i might watch the first one again, since everyone say it better than the second one. But there still a lot of movie i want to rewatch. From the ending, there might be a third sequel to this, if Joe Ma ran out of idea on other new romantic comedy.

In this sequel of Love undercover, there is no any story. In Love Undecover 1, there was a kind of story and it was very very funny, in Love Undercover 2: Love Mission it's only very very funny.Love Mission is abot Kuen that accidentally became an undecover-agent and her husband Hoi-Man also accidentally became her assistant. The story totally doesn't make sence, but the humor is very very good....The Japanese guy, Hiro, is the best character in this movie and also the old guy "seven" is very funny.A must watch movie 8,5/10

A great followup to Love Undercover! The silly and ridiculous comedy returns again one scene after another. Running bits from the last one pop up now and then which adds a sense of familiarity to the new. Miriam is just as oddly paced as ever but this time it's not so uncomfortable. Basically she is given a chance to redeem herself again just as the last. The story starts right away and for once a comedy with some very transitional and plausible storyline which gives a chance for all characters to shine including Man's father, Sir and the rest of the police team. The highlights include the godfather's three other godfathers getting released from prison (out of touch with Hong Kong today), the Puerto Risi ambassador, and the thief club. Miriam of course steals the show all the time with her quirky cute acting but the movie grows on the old because it expands so much and gives you new characters. Plus Joe Ma's directing and timing is much more refined in this one due to mostly the very succinct script (he also doesn't fail to throw in commentary on dumb pop culture things like he did with Twins last time). Yet many will think of the first one as their favorite because their heart throb Daniel Wu isn't featured enough and that the first was a very different movie, concentrating on the relationship. LU2:LM's theme could be the love for another, to do anything for that person but it offers quite a lot more than that and you'll be laughing too much to even care. So "go, go, go!" and watch it.
