adonis98-743-186503 Chris Emerson and his sister Nicole Emerson move to Luna Bay expecting to initiate a new life without housing expenses with their Aunt Jillian, but she charges rent to the siblings for a wrecked house, and Chris seeks a job working as board shaper to raise money for the unforeseeable expenses. To be honest i wasn't a big fan of the original Lost Boys i thought it was alright but also kinda stupid but damn this movie was awful, the acting was awful, the dialogue was cheesy and the whole vampire thing has been done to death and there's only a few remaining good films with that overdone subject of a storyline. (0/10)
bousozoku I'd like to say something really wonderful about this film, but I don't want to lie.If you really liked the original Lost Boys film, you may like this. If you enjoy pain and suffering, you may really enjoy this movie. The only memorable scene is at the end where the aunt/landlady is ready to throw the pair out.The rest of it is male bravado, yelling, attempted intimacy, partying, and all the things that are supposed to get you to believe that this is more than a hurried shuffle of a script with some new elements added. It could be worse, and that's the one good thing I can say about this film.
Belklin To even use the name "Lost Boys" in title of this movie is an absolute abomination in itself. For fans of the original cult classic, I would strongly urge you not to even bother wasting a second on this...yes, I too was excited when I heard that there was a sequel but I regret it now.Gratuitous violence for violence sake, completely lacking any of the humour or wit of the original, devoid of any semblance of an imaginative or even remotely interesting plot and punctuated with spurts of mindless action. For those who have not yet watched the original but have instead had the misfortune of watching The Tribe, don't let this put you off - there's no comparison, the two movies are light years apart.
iafbaker I will start off by saying that i am a huge fan of Corey Feldman and the original Lost Boys (I thought i needed to get that out the way). The story is that two youngish teens' parents are killed and they are forced to go live with there aunt in a new city. Chris, the brother, is an ex-surfer, and Nicole, the sister, is trying to get a fresh start. When Chris is looking for a job, he is directed to Edgar Frog, who turns out to be a vampire hunter. Chris dosen't know it yet, but he could be in need of Edgar's services as he goes to another ex surfers party, who isn't all he seems, and takes a shine to Chris' younger sister...As i am sure you all know, Corey Feldman's career has possibly gone slightly downhill since the good old 80's, and quite frankly has not done a great deal of "acting" as such, and the acting he has, are usually, well, awful. So when I found out there was in fact a Lost Boys 2, i was very excited, especially when i found out Corey was in it, as i suppose i was kind of hoping a film like this would re start his career. Now down to the the actual movie. I will be honest, it is pretty much the same as the original, even in some of the scenes (without ruining too much there is a very similar scene to the campfire one in the first, and the vampires even ride motorbikes). Some of the writing can be a bit poor at times, and the profanity seems a bit un-necessary, but these problems can be over-looked as there is actually some pretty cool action sequences and vampire deaths! The violence is quite a lot more graphic than the original, which starts from the beginning, so if you watch the first death, and think it's a little too much, then don't watch the rest, as it's pretty much gets worse. However, I enjoy O.T.T violence and there is a couple of awesome kills, and i particularly awesome cop chase. As i mentioned before with the problems, i'd say my biggest gripe is the profanity used. Considering the "f" word is used probably only once in the original (if that), the foul language is a big step up, the the "f" word used frequently and harshly.Onto the cast. There is obviously the legend that is Corey Feldman, who unfortunately is not the main character, but is probably in this one as much as he is in the original, which i suppose is enough satisfaction for me. No, the main actor is Tad Hilgenbrink (American Pie Presents: Band Camp, Disaster Movie) who plays the protagonist who has to kill the head vampire to save his sister - ring any bells? The head vampire is played by Angus Sutherland who is the younger half-brother of Keifer Sutherland. I thought he did quite well as he practically plays the same role as his older half-brother, just modernised. The sister who needs saving is Autumn Reeser (The O.C). I quite liked her as i thought she was pretty, but not made fake like many other actresses. Finally, the "Grandpa" in this movie is there aunt, whom is played by Gabrielle Rose (The Five Sences). Her role is pretty small but adds a bit of comedy to the film. All in all, i'd say a worthy sequel, if a little too samey, and not bad if you can pick it up as a bargain or rent it.
