christmaspikachu I love horror films, and I thought that this film sounded good, but when I watched it I was cringing at every attempt to scare the watcher. It was badly executed and was terribly acted.I don't recommend this film at all to those who like a good scare.
atinder I liked the Plot of the movie very much.I thought the movie started off really promisingI enjoyed the first 20 mins of the movie, were what normal kids do , drink , sex and they Bring the oujju board. The group end up unleashing a evil spirits. Which end killed them one by one however the deaths were really disappointing as toy only get to see the aftermath of them After the fine first death the movies drags on for far to long , which makes you lose instust and of that people are looking scared the whole time. Then it picks up for last 20 mins of the movie and they try to put so much stuff in those to much The downside to this movie was the pacing , it was all over the place . They could have spread it out more The acting was decent and I really enjoyed the last scene 4/10
Tss5078 Horror movies like this one really drive me crazy, because it sounds good, the previews are great, and when you sit down to watch it you find that the characters are so unbelievably stupid, that the film has no credibility what-so-ever. What happens when eight friends at a party get tired of drinking? Just like anyone else, they wind up going into a store room and using a Ouija board to contact the dead. In their ignorance, they forget to close the portal to the other side, and a demon escapes intent on hunting them all down. Las Vegas's Marsha Thomason stars and pretends to be some kind of spiritual expert, when in reality she doesn't know a thing. She is this whiny, annoying, know-it-all who I couldn't wait to see get her head chopped off. The rest of the cast isn't much better, as most of them just blindly follow her lead. To avoid this demon's rage, what do they all decide to do? Stick together in an old house, a good idea, but of course they can't stay together in a room forever, and that's when the demon starts picking them off one by one, in textbook slasher fashion. When you have a ridiculous story, combined with no background information, and a cast of characters that makes the cast of Duck Dynasty seem smart, what you get is a film that is beyond terrible. If there was some humor or even a break from the main story, maybe parts of Long Time Dead wouldn't have been so bad, but this film is pure garbage from the drunken night out to the bloody end.
vocklabruck The idea was interesting and the movie was OK at the beginning, then it goes downhill. I mean, it turns boring because it is the same we have seen a million times: A group of people are in a house and an unknown entity kills the guys one by the other.Besides the characters are not particularly likable so you don't care if they are killed or not. Characters development is very important but the writer here did not pay too much attention to this, so each person means the same to you.The movie has some good chilling moments, but it is that kind of flick only enjoyable by teenagers. By the way, there are some cheap SFX at the end that makes you laugh.
