a very interesting film. for the art to suggest more than presents. for the nice characters and a form of honesty who seems be real poetic. a simple story about love, responsibilities, choices and friendship. and the manner to build each in decent manner. all as parts of a fascinating drawing of gestures and words and decision. the delicate air of the story of Taylor, Alex and Jesse is the precious gift of this short film. not details. only few lines. not answers. only pieces who, in the imagination of the viewer, could be a puzzle. picture of few states, Lloyd Neck has the rare virtue to be almost a story about yourself. like a drawing made in a fall afternoon in park . or a picture from your younger sister.

This short deals with Travis, a high-school boy; Alex, his kid sister; and Jesse the brother's gay friend. The film opens at Travis's high school track meet and we then meet the kid sister. We also meet Travis' pal Jesse who's a photographer. Travis & his sis Alex are close and Travis spends a good deal of time taking care of Alex due to somewhat absent parents. The pair agree to meet with photographer Jesse to take photos the next day.As with many shorts, this has the feel of a movie joined in progress. While it succeeds in evoking a mood and introducing us to some characters we could come to care about, it's limited in scope and ends before we know much of the story or the back-story.Well worth the 15 or so minutes it takes to view.
