pugsnsuch It wasn't a hilarious, laugh out loud movie, but it was really enjoyable all the way through..Melissa McCarthy was excellent as always..
johnny-million There's just not much movie in this movie. Lots of the dialogue feels improvised. I'll always give Melissa McCarthy the benefit of the doubt, but a casual fan may want to skip this one.
Angry Santa Are you ever frustrated whilst watching a movie at a cinema because you can't just press "pause" to go to the toilet or do something else without missing anything? Well this movie definitely won't give you that sense of frustration - no matter how much of it you miss, you'll still feel like you've watched too much of it.I'm thinking maybe Falcone owed someone a massive favour, but if I was in his position I'd have chosen cement shoes over creating this train-wreck.McCarthy was never really much of an actress - never really much of anything, really - and she doesn't disappoint with her appearance in this flick. Think Roseanne Barr without the appeal (now that's really saying something!).With writing that wouldn't earn a pass mark in primary school and acting that would evoke eggs and tomatoes if it was performed in public, you'll be gnashing your teeth in no time at all.
Harrison Tweed (Top Dawg) I'm shocked at this low score. I guess you're either a fan of Melissa McCarthy or you're not, and seeing that I am, I really enjoyed this film. It was constant laughs and one scene where I can't remember laughing so hard for so long - I had to rewind that scene 3x I laughed so hard! The writing was cute and had a heartfelt story. The acting, directing and editing was all perfect. I really enjoyed this and am sure you will too. A well deserved 9/10 from me!
