sassigirlee Wow that was painful! The film style used to film this movie made this movie so cheesy! Almost looks like a 70's style film... What a disappointment for Cuba & Christian. What where they thinking? They must be so embarrassed! The girls were very pretty and their fight scene was one of the best girl fights that I've seen. Even the cars weren't that great for being made in 2009. The airplane part was the kicker for me. LAME! I wish this sight showed how much money each actor got paid for their part. It would explain a lot.... I hope Christian does something better in the future. I've always like him especially in the Mob movie he did in the 90's. Christian plays a good sexy bad guy. I've always wondered why he isn't in more films. Oh well, I've heard all actors have at least one movie their not proud of.

Hans_Silber Dear friends and lovers of cinema, when I completed watching this movie my only consolation was to look forward on its comments on IMDb. I guess I wasn't able to leave the cinema right after 15 minutes because I was somehow compelled to stay and be amazed by this constantly unfolding cinematic accident... I rushed home only to share my bad experience with other victims and thus finding some relief. Thank God IMDb exists! Thank you for your apt comments. To those few commentators who did not cry out in pain about it, I can only say: If you still hope to financially gain from the sales of this 'movie': nice try. If not: every further comment is futile. To end positively: The only good job amidst 'Lies & Illusions' was done in marketing this movie, i.e. the text on the cinema program and DVD cover. They've obviously managed to lure some unfortunate folks into spending money on this movie. - Has anybody ever read a comment of Slater or Gooding jr on this film?

ioannougiorgos This is really a bad movie... Acting is just horrible and the plot is as stupid as it gets. Not one of the main characters is worth mentioning as the acting is bad from everyone. Don't need a spoiler alert here since you can pretty much guess how the plot will unfold from the getgo. Now the fight scenes are just plainly bad, like really bad... Who fights standing on tables?!? Really? And when you have a gun you don't move closer to your opponent so he can punch you and then drop the gun. Jesus! As for the camera work I got pretty dizzy at times. The lens they used give the movie a cheap feel like it is a low budget college movie. Really bad choice. Avoid at all costs. NOT even a rental. I wonder why people still waste money doing these movies.

semperfidelis_98 Its hard to say where to begin...well, how about the beginning. It was obvious from the start of the movie that this was low budget and going to look like some kind of college assignment gone wrong. And it was! If I was Christian Slater or Cuba Gooding Jr. I would have distanced myself from this movie as soon as I read the script. They must have been forced to do the movie due to gambling debts or blackmail.Acting was terrible and forced, camera shots were sloppy and cheap, editing was crappy, and even the special effects looked like my 7 year old son had done them. I don't know what was harder to watch, the gun fights or Christian slaters chase scene in the car with both women towards the end. And Cuba was not much better as well.Overall, that is two hours of my life that I will never get back. Glad I only spent $1 to rent. Of course the fact that it went straight to video should have been a hint!
