Synopsis

A year and a half ago the world was hit with the biggest catastrophe it had ever seen. Yet somehow one man seemed to rise to the challenge. One man had the strength and conviction to unite a shattered world. One man gave the world hope. That man was NICOLAE CARPATHIA. floyd beck Some reviewers do not like this movie because it is a Christian movie, so they blindly hate it, just as those who watched Jesus Christ really heal people and even raise some from the dead, but the haters, rather than seeing good, wanted to kill Him, which they did. This is my reason the movie is awful: In one scene, the minister says, "The Lord asked Abraham to sacrifice his own son and because Abraham put it all in God's hand, it was counted unto him for righteousness."3 problems: 1 mild, 1 dangerous, 1 obvious1 mild: The minister discusses Abraham sacrificing his son, BUT the name "Isaac" is left out. It is mentioned clearly in Gen 22.2. This is important because Muslims say it was Ishmael who was sacrificed, as mentioned in the Koran, a corrupt remake of the Bible.2 dangerous: The minister states that Abraham committed an act which resulted in "righteousness". That is WORKS SALVATION and is out of context and wrong. Abraham had BELIEVED God earlier, in Gen 15. The movie wrongly and dangerously implies that Abraham did something to win righteousness.3 obvious: The script is really poor and overall, the movie flops much like other sequels. The first Left Behind was decent; the second, boring; the third, just awful because of the acting and the script. The only thing that caught my attention was, what I label, Movie Humor - Several times in the movie when a person asks God for help, a cell phone rings. Funny!
Boba_Fett1138 This religious-propaganda series have never hid from what they were trying to be. Constant praying and Christian values play a central role in these movies but is that all really that fitting and interesting to watch when the entire world is going to hell in this movie. I wanted to see global chaos and panic but none of that ever happens, cause everything is going to be alright when you put your faith in God's hands. At least that has always been the message these movies were trying to send out.It was not all that bad to watch though. Luckily they had a decent budget to spend, which can be seen in the movie its look and some of its action and effects. It makes the movie a bit more credible to watch than its predecessors. It still is an odd thing what an incredible big leap with its story this movie suddenly makes from its last movie entry. Supposedly 8 books or so were simply skipped to come to this finale to the series. Probably because they knew that there was going to be no way that they could film all of the books out of the series, most likely due to budgeting reasons. Somehow I think this movies never really have been very profitable ones to make. It makes it all the more disappointing that the climax of this movie really isn't very satisfying. Seriously, what did even happen at the end? When you have an open ending you should at least provide some more information at what could be happening afterward. The movie tries to be fast and spectacular to watch but it has far too many slow and dull moments in it for that. Out all of the Left Behind movies, this is the one in which the characters also work out less well, even though it has exactly the same characters and mostly the same actors portraying them. The Anti-Christ for instance gets far too less to do. This guy is supposed to be the biggest villain to have ever walked the Earth but he just sits around at his office pulling the strings, without really coming across as dangerously villainous. Not the best end imaginable to the series.5/10http://bobafett1138.blogspot.com/
bkoganbing Purportedly this is the final film of the Left Behind series which is fundamentalist preacher and novelist Tim LaHaye's idea of what we can expect in our future in the final days of Planet Earth. If this is the case we can expect an activist presidency in every sense of the word if Barack Obama becomes president next year. The Fantastic Four of Revelation are all back with one cast change, Arnold Pinnock who most would know as the guidance counselor in Life With Derek, is now the minister taking the place of Clarence Gilyard. Brad Johnson as the anti-Christ's pilot by day and Christian by night is there as his daughter Janaya Stephens and ace investigative reporter Kirk Cameron. These are the only four people on Earth who have divined the true nature of UN Secretary General Nicolai Karpathy and once again are throwing sand in his machinery. This time they've got as an ally the President of the United States who is played by Louis Gossett, Jr. He's having one hell of a rough time, especially the guerrillas launch on RPG attack on a presidential motorcade killing Vice President Charles Martin Smith. That's right, the Toad is Vice President. Somebody really messed up bad here because everyone including those who would do them harm know a President and Vice President NEVER travel together. It takes all of them the entire film to convince Gossett exactly who Karpathy really is. Once again the best one in the film is Gordon Currie as Karpathy. We may yet see another Left Behind film yet, the door was left open though people assure me that they've run out of source material from Tim LeHaye. I suppose as long as they make money and these players can't get jobs in the mainstream film industry. And there are some unresolved plot issues involving Brad Johnson and Chelsea Noble who is Mrs. Kirk Cameron in real life. One of the Fantastic Four does die in this film, so will it be the Fantastic Three or will they get another fourth. Stay tuned.
Alexandra Santos After watching this movie, I felt an obligation to warn people of it's true nature. It is not an "Action/War/Thriller" genre movie as it is marked in several movie renting facilities. This is simply religious propaganda, Christian propaganda, in this case (driven to almost the point of fanatics). And a really bad one at that.Instead of following the footsteps of other religious films, giving people material to think about, facts about this or that religion, this movie basically has the characters in the middle of World War 3 (started by none other than the anti-Christ himself), praying. An unknown biological-weapon contagious disease at lose? No problem, let's walk among the infected and pray with them, we don't need biohazard suits or vaccines for the lord is with us... World War 3 just started, shall we proceed to the nearest bomb shelter or find a safe spot? Nay, let's hold hands and pray. This movie could possibly be enjoyed by the people who feel the need to have a capital letter every time they refer to a religious character such as He, His etc... (or you could end up offended by it as well)All others who are not interested in watching a bad Christian propaganda film should look elsewhere. The acting is nothing special, the special effects are pretty outdated (and are few and far between), the story is fantasy, where no one responds to the presented situations as a normal human being would. No distinct musical score, and looped sound effects (at the burning white house you hear the same helicopter pass 3 times). All this put together, it makes for one "hell" of a bad movie. Pardon the pun!
