Synopsis

In the sixties, the Drugstore "minets" were the best dressed, believed only in themselves and imagined themselves reinventing everything. The drag, the clubs, the first joints, the vacations on the Normandy coast, but also love and show-offs. Philippe and Marc do the four hundred tricks. Charlotte and Nathalie do the same on their side. Against a backdrop of Otis Redding and the Animals, a sentimental education before the upheaval of May 1968. The fury of living in a France that is bored.

sergeramelli-1 This movie really made me laugh, I loved the flavor, the "ambiance" of the movie, I was really there in Paris in the 60's. Some of the dialog are really funny especially the ones from aurelian vick and alice taglionie, some parts are very sexy. The music is amazing, I will get the soundtrack. The photo is also very nice, this movie remained me the spirit of the 60's, how the teens were at the time. The rock and roll attitude of the character is funny, the way they talk to each other, they way they danced. I recommend you to watch this, it brings you back in time
R. Nauta (rudymovie) A crazy film, about, what ? The events in the lives of some "swinging people" in the supposed 1960's. My comment: I find it quite an unrealistic movie, as the actors, who play "people in the 1960's", absolutely are unlike people in that era. They 'd rather be seen as contemporary people, who have been dressed up with " sixties " like (and in that respect not even true!) hair-do's, and costumes. I was an adolescent myself in the years 1964-1972 (the real 60s), and I have very well "lived' that age in all its newness. (I didn't enjoy that much sex as well, I am sorry to admit) But, as may be seen from old youth programs from television, that can be re-seen on websites, (like in Holland ,they exist, reviving vintage 60s discussions, forums, pop-shows, etc.) the attitude of young people, then was much more timid, hesitant, shy, etc. much more than the self esteemed style of modern actors. And, do you, modern viewer think that in those days Sex was talked about like in this film? I doubt it. This film is just as untrue, as Grease (what a comparison) to the real rock & roll- life style of the 1950s. Dreamt up by some people of this age . And on the soundtrack, it has mostly very boring too-well-known hits, and a lot of soul as well, which was quite fringe in those years. So?
jmates27 An absolutely superb movie. The performances were believable without a doubt. Perhaps this is just coming from a male's perspective, but there is no-one in this movie you cannot relate to. Watch for similarities with "American Beauty", and, to a far lesser extent, "Cruel Intentions" and "American Pie".The cinematography is spectacular. Each scene's camera angle, lighting, et al, increase the mood tenfold. The ending is how all Hollywood movies should be. No wonder this one isn't.Issues with the amount of smoking and drinking they do, but then again, who didn't at that age? No gratuitous sex or violence, although rather large portions of both.Overall: ********/**
jean-no The movie reviews were quite good, but the movie is not very good for me. The story happens at the end of the sixties, in Paris. The golden youth is talking about english shoes and having sex : how boring. The storyline is weird, the characters behaviors is not very realistic, and the characters themselves are not sympathetics at all... This is so far of a very simple movie like françois Truffaut's "baisers volés" or "Antoine et colette" or Jacques Roziers's Adieu Philippine... The acting is not too bad, the image either, the soundtrack is ok.
