I've been seeing too many lousy comedies lately when I spied the many awesome IMDb reviews. Could it really be this good? All my thumbs up YES.Someone opined: Nothing in this movie has any bearing on real life, because things happen all throughout the movie that would never happen in a million years in real life.YES, YES, BRAVO, YES....exactly why the film ROCKS. This is a COMEDY where suspense of one's belief system IS WELCOME. This comedy seeks to depict real life about as much Woody Allen's Manhattan. It is, at times, somewhat akin to the best of classic farces with doors opening and closing all around us.About ZERO among us has had the FUN of running into a 'Lila,' (though I am out searching for her right now!). This comedic gem is like a tossed salad of hilarious conflicted and conflicting characters and situations. The unique central twist is embodied in Lila, delectably played by Paulina Porizkova, who is the engine that keeps this yummy comedy rolling along. And we so enjoy the ride which never lets up from first to last frame.Bravo to cast, crew, writers and director. And now that this chore is over I can go watch it AGAIN.

Superb acting by entire cast ! If you are not a Stamos fan, you will be after watching this. He steals the performance from right under the other actors in every scene. His plays a sleazy character but does it so well that you want to root for him. Michael Leydon Campbell is so lovable - kind of a guy every girl wants but does not go for. Even the storyline about the married couple gets interesting and leaves you wanting to know what happens to them. The movie is about love / commitment from guys' point of view. And it's surprising how similar and how different it is from girls' POV. However,if you are easily offended then this movie is not for you.

Knots is a funny, sexy and entertaining movie about six thirty-something characters experiencing life and love in NYC. Credit must be given to the co-writer/director, Greg Lombardo, for making this diverse group of actors a believable set of friends and lovers. John Stamos just about steals the movie. This role is clearly the precursor to his new TV series which even borrows the name "Jake" from one of the characters in Knots. Stamos' looks, charm and winning smile are used to great effect. Paulina Porizkova was a wonderful surprise. Having not seen or heard anything about her in a number of years, she is well-cast as the story's sexy catalyst. Scott Cohen and Annabeth Gish are a married couple with a very real relationship that gets played out on a number of levels. Michael Leydon Campbell is sweet as Jake, the underdog. Credit also goes to the director/producers for casting Tara Reid against type. Set primarily in Brooklyn with some action in Manhattan, the homes and offices look realistic and lived in; you feel like you could hang out there and enjoy spending time with these interesting and quirky characters. The movie is well-written; the story is moved along by a couple of unexpected twists and turns, including the ending, and the dialog has some great repartee and one-liners. A very enjoyable and worthwhile 90 minutes. Check it out.

This really took me by surprise. I was expecting fun, light fare, but ended up loving this film. Paulina Poriskouva puts in the best performance I've seen in a long time - sexy, funny, and well acted. Annabeth Gish is awesome, much like her short appearances on the West Wing. John Stamos is hilarious and much more interesting than the junk he did on full house. Tara Reid is cute and not her "bad publicity" persona. Many films would hang themselves on the twist (which I'm not going to give away) of the film's premise, and kind of leave the movie to its own devices. The film really goes forward from the premise and develops each one of the characters completely. Just awesome cast, very good writing, and extremely funny! Loved it.
