Synopsis

The magical kingdom of Lucis is home to the world’s last remaining Crystal, and the menacing empire of Niflheim is determined to steal it. King Regis of Lucis commands an elite force of soldiers called the Kingsglaive. Wielding their king’s magic, they fight to protect Lucis. As the overwhelming military might of the empire bears down, King Regis is faced with an impossible ultimatum – to marry his son, Prince Noctis to Princess Lunafreya of Tenebrae, captive of Niflheim, and surrender his lands to Niflheim rule. Although the king concedes, it becomes clear that the empire will stop at nothing to achieve their devious goals, with only the Kingsglaive standing between them and world domination.

KillerSpin Excellente movie about what happened. Just what i wanted.
Miguel Neto Well when I cleared the Final Fantasy XV game, I saw many problems in the story, and left many loose ends, there I discovered this movie Kingslaive, and decided to watch to see if the history of the game improved, well the story is far from great, But the movie left the game better, and more closed, the quality of the animation is animal, CGI very well done, had moments that I thought was real, we learned more of Regis that does not get to have a great participation, and we see more Aaron Paul, Lena Headey, Sean Bean, all great, the characters are interesting, we also get more from the Lunafreya, and from other characters, the dialogues sin in some things, the characters in the movie. Kingslaive I found them uninteresting, taking out the Nyx Ulric, the battles are cool, and the animation is also a bit violent. Note 7.5
Hereticked I wasn't expecting much from this film based on Squeenix's track record in film making. Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within was a fine experiment and a revolutionary piece of animation for its time, but it was far from a great film and highlighted how difficult it is to tell a complex and fulfilling story in a 2 hour time frame rather than the dozens of hours a role playing game is allotted. Final Fantasy 7 - Advent Children was another uptick in the advancement of CG and a great action piece, but it was ultimately nostalgia porn for those of us who loved the original game. Kingsglaive - Final Fantasy 15 is a leap in terms of the animation quality, all but eliminating the ability to discern between animation and reality, but it's also a product of experience. Finally, the writers, animators, producers and directors at Square Enix have acquired the experience to harness the advantages of the medium and have delivered a film that I wish I could have seen on the big screen. Not only does this movie setup Final Fantasy 15 brilliantly, it's a damn good film in its own right. It has just the right mix of suspense, action and drama and was surprisingly well written and voice acted (including an all-star English voice cast.) Watch it on the biggest screen you can and be amazed at how far Square Enix has come!
Mika_Valentine The story tells of the diminishing numbers of the Kings elite forces of Lucis finding it near impossible to maintain and defend the borders from the Empire. The King (voiced by Sean Bean) realize it's only a matter of time before the walls are breached, knowing the magic will not be able to stop the attackers, and will feel it necessary to accept an offer of peace by agreeing to give up territories to the Niflheim empire, an agreement that doesn't sit well with many of those that fought to protect Lucis. The King will regret letting the Niflheim's into Lucis, they intend only treachery and seek to steal the magic of the sacred crystal for their own use... The King will insist his daughter 'Lunafreya' (voiced by Lena Headey) who had been rescued after years of captivity should take the ring and with the help of loyal defender 'Nyx' (voiced by Aaron Paul) be taken to safety....a perilous journey.I wasn't really sure what to expect with this movie, but after seeing it I can say it exceeded all my expectations and quite frankly I was blown away. The movie is absolutely stunning and at times it looks extremely realistic, despite being all animated. The fight scenes choreography was well thought out, they were tense and really showed off both sides, unique fight style and made them look evenly powerful. and the story Ifelt was easy to follow and very interesting. After seeing this I am really considering getting the game.
