I don't think I have watched a worse piece of crap masquerading as a scary movie. The acting was rubbish, the clown was about as scary as Pinocchio and the story was just ridiculous. Love revenge? You've got to be kidding me!!

This movie is atrocious beyond comprehension. As a fan of the sillier side of horror, I was actually really looking forward to watching this movie. I wish I had read up on some reviews before I wasted £3.50 on this awful film. From the cover, Killyjoy looks like a terrifying clown who could easily create bloodshed amongst the protagonists...but this movie is anything but scary, or funny. With laughable dialogue, bad acting, horrible special effects and a stupid plot line; this movie takes the cake. The only thing even remotely frightening about this movie is that it was even allowed to be made in the first place. It looks like it was created by a group of teenagers using Windows Movie Maker. Honestly, I would not recommend this movie to anyone whatsoever. Spend your money on better clown movies. Killer Klowns From Outer Space is the perfect example of what a silly, scary horror should be and Killjoy is anything but.

Okay, where to begin. Okay I'll start with the story, its a decent story its nothing special, a kid gets murdered my gangsters and a demon clown named Killjoy exacts revenge in the kids honor. The acting ranges from OK to bad so I guess I can say the acting was stiff. Killjoy is a somewhat likable but very annoying character, he spits out TONS of one liners, and some are funny and some are not. The effects in this movie are awful, there is a scene where I guy is getting turned to ash and you just have to see it for yourself it is that bad. So I would say skip it. The sequel to this is even worse but this series saves itself with killjoy 3 and I have heard good things about the fourth so I will just have to see it myself.

I am one of those people that loves a movie like this, not because of what it is, but because of what it could have been. In this day and age, when everything is getting a big budget reboot, why not throw some money at the writers and turn this into a good movie. The rough outlines of the plot are there, it's not actually a bad story. Just needs a little fleshing out, ya know? Imagine the story if the kills were exciting, and the characters a little less two dimensional. Also, Arthur Burghardt is absolutely brilliant as the homeless man, I think he had a lot of potential. All in all, on my list of "cheesie movies that I could love", this is an 8 out of 10 for me.
