Dan388 You...and the whole world, need to see this movie. Truly an inspiring work of art, I was blessed to have stumbled upon this gem at an early age. Little did I know this masterpiece would shape my entire mindset; from living a life based on attaining peace of mind to...what am I saying, you just need to watch this. Best 90 minutes of your life. If you are reading this, then there is a reason for you reading this. What can I say, this is an old flick, low budget, bad reviews, but just give it a chance. You won't be disappointed. Kickboxer 2: The Road Back...You will only move forward by watching this movie. Life changing indeed. PS...I've willingly watched this movie over 100 times, including right now. Brings back old memories, reminds me of incredible life lessons, and opens up my lungs to new found smooth breaths. I can't thank this movie enough. It is my dream that the love that I have and benefit I received from this movie can touch another soul. What are you waiting for, watch it for free online. You owe it to your future self. He will thank you for it. Guaranteed.
Richard Latanville Kickboxer 2, the Road back I think is better film then Kickboxer 1 in the storyline. Yes in 2 to 4, there is no Van Damme. But we get this guy (Sasha Mitchell) who made Step by Step worthwhile, and did Spike of Bennsonhurst before that. He carried the torch of a franchise beautifully. His Tae Won Do black belt makes him the perfect candidate. The movie reprise Michel Qissi as Tong Po. And has the late Peter Boyle, who is known for the dad on Everyone loves Raymond. I don't know why people flame this movie. Because no Van Damme? Get over it. This movie is better then Hottie and the Nottie by a million miles don't complain about this film just because.
Rautus Sasha Mitchell stars as David Sloan, working at a Martial arts Gym but when a business man Justin (Peter Boyle) wants him to go into the ring again and he takes out his best fighter they burn down his business and injure his leg. He then meets Xing Chow (Dennis Chan) who trained Kurt Sloan and isn't happy to meet him at first but soon Xing begins training him.Meanwhile Sanga (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) wants Tong Po (Michel Qissi) to have a rematch with David Sloan to regain his honour since he killed Kurt and Eric Sloan in a rage of being defeated. So David Sloan and Tong Po have a rematch using the tradition of broken glass on their hands.it was nice to see Dennis Chan reprising his role as Xing Chow and Michel Qissi as Tong Po, Sasha Mitchell was cool as David Sloan and was great in this. Kickboxer 2 is a impressive sequel that shouldn't disappoint. 10/10
Frank Markland David Sloan (Sasha Mitchell) is content to keep his nose clean and stay out of the kickboxing business (Yeah, right) and run a gym that caters to kids. However his gym is on hard times and the only way to keep the gym his brothers helped build is to fight again. Enter Tong Po(Michael Qissi) who is looking to regain his honor after losing to Sloan's older brother Kurt(Who was played by Van Damme in # 1) Suffice to say David will have to step into the ring. I picked up the Kickboxer 5 pack because I remember seeing these on Cable TV when I was younger and enjoying them a lot. While there is some fun to be had in this sequel there is far too much plot that stops the movie dead in it's tracks. Mitchell is an adequate martial artist and okay actor but the role gives him little to do and it's only the well staged fight sequences which give K2 the only watchable edge it has.* * out of 4-(Fair)
