ashikaseem Mind blowing and perfect. I became a Kevin spacey fan with in the first five minutes of the movie. keep you engaged from the beginning to the end. I think this is the only movie that used Kevin spacey's potentials. I think Kevin spacey deserved Oscars for this. Best story telling and unbelievable character absorption

serafinogm I must have been in an emotional state when I saw this movie for the first time as I found myself crying throughout! I quite enjoyed the interplay between the Jeff Bridges character and the Kevin Spacey character but they were just as good apart. The impact upon seeing the sprinkler in the back of the ruin of a house laying in the long untended yard near the ruined swing set was an emotional jolt that I'll never forget and every sorrowful drama in my life came to the fore like a fountain that to this day resonates deep in my soul. It was a powerful movie, beautifully acted and directed and I encourage all to see it (unless of course you're more inclined to zombies, and horror films) but I assure even those types that the horror suggested by this movie is far more powerful, far more compelling!

muvi-fan-73 K-PAX is a movie about a person, who says that he is from another planet. He thus is institutionalized in psychiatric department. In spite of taking medicines prescribed by doctors he continues to behave same way. Being from planet K-PAX, he even provides proper details and other facts related to the scientific jury specially assigned. The institution where he is hospitalized he makes special relations with the members there. There is an incidence related to blue bird. He promises the hospitalized members about his departure to his planet with date and that he is going to take only one person who writes the best note for him. He does that and story ends.Gradually in story it is said, he is a troubled family person. He also fears water; the film provides us with reason for same. Then what was the reason he behaved in such a manner. Well there are many theories but the one that I like goes like this. In various cultures we have heard about possession by negative entities, where the people are not in their own mind. A positive spiritual entity is capable of doing same but may be it respects ones different nature or simply it doesn't want to hurt. Maybe there's an alien race so superior that understands this and it blew other life in someone only for little time to show communication. There's a little bit of brain work here but I loved it and expect the same from most of the audience. Thus I recommend it.Rating: 10/10

tim_s_wiley As time goes by this movie proves/reproves itself as a a pinnacle of life's hard earned wisdom. While i loved this move 10+ yrs ago, i decided to re- watch with my other daughters... and wow i found that i had not even come close to really understanding the full message, and i'm not sure that i ever will entirely. "Every being in the universe knows right from wrong" is the line in this movie that makes me question government, religion and pretty much everything. It's extremely rare movies like this that i go to in order to having a remote chance at understanding the real nature of why were here. I have to give this a 10 because it just continues to stick with me in way that is different from most.
