robertofuiano If this movie was Spielberg would have had more. Since these strontium on the assumption that a film must be beautiful to be directed by big names like Spielberg, Lucas, Jackson, Cameron. .. All these assessments are wrong you understand the level of bad opinion of this site. Only films for intellectuals can be saved. This film was produced with many dollars and the optimal use of special effects make the place as among the best science fiction film Americans. Finitela of using double standards when judged as a movie, try to be objective because they give 3.8 a film of its kind and reward a crap how terrible sin city with 8.2 is really a 'offense.
lazarillo This movie is supposedly based on an erotic autobiography by one "Joy Laury". Obviously, it is another knock-off (a French-Canadian one this time) of the 1974 European film "Emmanuelle". Although they were never exactly good, I kind of like the 1970's "Emmanuelle"-type films, but this, uh, genre, had grown really tired by 1983, and this film really adds nothing new. It's not as well-made as the early Sylvia Kristel "Emmanuelle" films. It's not as erotic as some of the earlier "Emmanuelle" knock-offs like the German film "Vanessa". And it's not nearly as demented and weird as some of the "Emmanuelle", um, re-imaginings like the notorious Joe D'Amato-Laura Gemser "Black Emanuelle" series (which featured cannibals, snuff films, etc.). Canuck actress Claudia Udy plays a model who's dating a rock musician, but then falls madly in love with an older man. She finds some success after a modeling shoot and goes to America to appear in a movie (which looks like it's even worse than this one). Despite a lot of temptation, she stays more or less faithful to her new love, but then she discovers he WANTS her to have sex with five guys at a time while he watches.Okay, Udy has a very nice body, but I've seen her in other stuff and she just can't act. It also doesn't help that she and everyone else are very badly dubbed into English. Segio Begonzelli is an interesting director (notice I didn't say "good"), but this is by far his least interesting film. It's too stylized and very pretentious (there's one scene where "Joy" discards her panties, spreads her legs, and displays herself as part of some half-assed art exhibit, which we're supposed to believe is high art). I sometimes find the European pretentiousness and the ridiculous dialogue amusing in these films, but here it's mostly just annoying. I do (kind of) like these kind of films, but this one just didn't do it for me.
tennman012000 I have this movie and enjoyed it very much. The scenes of Claudia showing her sexiness is remarkable. The best for me in the movie was at the end where she was with her man going to the club and her being made love to by 5 men and he watches. She's so erotic in that scene, very submissive to the men and being ever so passive, having no control of the situation. Sexy and succulent, ever so desirable. I also have the movie, "Edge of Sanity", didn't realize that she was in that one, have to look closer again to see her. I give it an 8 out of 10, for the enthusiasm and sexiness of this remarkable beautiful woman. I'd say if you want a good soft core with relentless sexy bodies and pure soft core sex, see this one.
raysond This film was the first of three sequels relating to the trilogy. Not since the days of Sylvia Kristel or Laura Gemser for that manner has there been a movie that has been at least extremely odd for its form over the substance style of eroticism and "Joy" is no exception to the rule or to the latter for that manner. The film revolves around the sexual adventures of a supermodel(Claudia Udy) and her search for the perfect man which leads her on a course of travels around the earth. The acting is okay, but bland at times, but its camera work that does all the work. The film has been seen only once in America(which is was last shown on Cinemax),but you'll need to see it on video(if they have it on the shelves) if you have nothing else to do.The story concludes even more with "Joy:Chapter II",which doesn't have the firepower of the original but it has more sex if you're into that sort of stuff. The sequel has our heroine finding the perfect man, only to find out that she has been set up,and so or hero(Claudia Udy)is kidnapped and is brought to exotic land only that she escapes and is befriended by a young lady named Joanna. Not only the two become good friends at least, but they experience their first sexual encounter on a train(and probably the best scene in which these two are in a REAL hot girl/girl love fest and its only in the Unrated version which is very hard to find in some video chains). However, the plot is foggy, but at the end Joy returns to Paris to find her true love(which is the perfect man),or so it seems. The conclusion in "Joy:Chapter III" is not like the other two,but this one is absolutely horrible from the beginning...avoid at all costs! In this one, Claudia Udy only has a small part in this and exits right out,and in this one Joy travels to Japan were she finds all sorts of sexual adventures, and this one was the worst and the last of the series. In my honest opinion, the first one shines out from them all.
