Unlike some reviewers, I found the acting and FX passable, and at times even well done. I certainly have seen a lot worse. My biggest problem is with this monstrosity of a melding of three religions. What a mess! You have to be a moron to think there is any reconciling of these three religions, since you'd have to vacate all their essential teachings to do this. Also, the entire mythos of the Jinn just falls flat from the beginning. The verse from Ezekiel 1:13 read in support of their existence is totally out of context and has absolutely nothing to do with any Jinn; rather this verse describes the Seraphim who surround and guard the throne of God, and there are only four of them. They are also described in Revelation 4:6-9. They are not a "third race" but a special class of angelic being, those closest to God throne. But if you suspend your incredulity for an hour or so, the film is nice entertainment. I have no wish for a sequel to this pretentious hodge-podge of cosmological muck. One is more than enough, thanks!

***Spoilers***Needed more detail to make it a good story. However, it was obvious that the production team had only so much money for the effort. To their credit, the movie did not lapse into mindless gore. An attempt to keep to some involved plot was tried. Acting was fair (not great), special effects were good, production was good. A pretty good Bollywood type effort. Tried and done story of young lad growing up to be defender of the world against evil spirits. Some people show up to help him. He kills big spirit baddie. Scares the rest of them. Roll credits. Credits did look cool, probably best part of the movie. All in all, okay effort, watched it free from offer from cable company for one free on demand movie. Glad did not have to pay for it. Recommend you wait for this one to come out with commercials so you don't wind up mad at yourself.

Same scenes revisited, same kinda good effects with OK sound fx... but still...this film blew. I have a long standing record with films of the bizarre, nasty, horrifying, dangerous and kinky...this film was trash. Even a friend of mine whom is a far...faar bigger buff of the various darker genres than I would say the same. What could have been a grand tale about one of the pre existing beings upon our world since eldritch times was pitiful. This was not scary in the least, and played out more like a cross between constantine and hellboy in a pathetic way.Avoid or lose the hour and a half of your life, and never recover it . 2/10 is the best I can give this, if nothing else but for the actors efforts. A film is still a trying project to complete.

Well Done Guys as it was I think the first comprehensive movie about Jinns. The people who don't like it or should I say the ones who don't understand the movie are not familiar with the Islamic point of view regarding supernatural. According to Islam Jinns and Angels were created far before Humans. Jinns were created with fire and also with a lot of supernatural powers. They have been here with us from the very beginning. The things we call ghosts, spirits etc are actually Jinns. The movie as a whole was a nice effort to showcase the Islamic perspective. Acting was very acceptable. The director knew all the time what he was doing and where he wants to go with the movie. There were a few mistakes here and there but overall it is worth your time and money.
