I really don't see why people don't like this movie. Everyone is, of course, entitled to their own opinions, so I'm sure there are things in this movie that people didn't like. But speaking in my own opinion, I did enjoy this movie a lot. I first saw this film when I purchased the original Japanese dialog version off the internet. The subtitles, I'm afraid, were very crummy, misspelling and mistranslating many of the words, but besides that I followed the storyline pretty well. I have yet to see the English dub, however, and I do hope that it does the original justice.Fifty years ago, Inuyasha and the priestess Kikyo traveled to an island called Houraijima or Mystic Island. There they met six half-demon (hanyou) children who have four scars on their back which prevented them from leaving the island. It turns out that four demons called the Shitoushin inflicted these scars on the children. In order to keep their powers, the Shitoushin need half-demons to throw into the furnace and absorb their life force. Inuyasha is also inflicted with these scars, and fifty years later he returns to the island along with the whole gang to defeat the four Shitoushin and save the hanyou children. This film is action-packed with a superb music score and wonderful animation. There's humor here and there, the usual jokes such as Kagome's famous "Sit!" commands and Miroku's usual lechery. Plus we have six new half-demons who are introduced, each with their own unique personalities that we can hate/love. All in all this was a good film that's sure to please any Inuyasha fan, so be sure to watch it if you ever get the chance! (Note: This movie is not an ending to the series and has little or no effect on the series plot, so don't watch it if you're hoping for any answered questions)

Overall, its an Inuyasha movie... what do you expect? It's not like they can make a bad Inuyasha movie... although I'd say that this one comes particularly close. There is a lot of action in it, but the story line is very weak. In the movie, Inuyasha & company are drawn to a mystical island. There they have to parent a bunch of half-demon kids, while fighting four war gods. Sesshomaru and Kikyo get involved and overall its just really weird. Not necessarily confusing, but definitely weird, not to mention weak. So, in conclusion... If you like Inuyasha, go see it, but don't expect too much from it except lots of action and a weak storyline.6.5/10
