oneguyrambling A 20 second review for a movie that doesn't deserve 20 seconds of anyone's time.I watched Internet Dating for one reason, Katt Williams, I found his stand up DVDs great and IMDb'd him to see what he was up to and found this. When I couldn't find anything about it I tracked it down and now very much regret doing so.It is about a lonely guy who works at a Subway style sandwich shop that never seems to have any customers despite a 5 strong staff, he goes on the net to find "love", and as the guy who runs the website is his cousin he spends the remainder of the film trying to hook up with... something. It is a horribly bland premise made worse when I realised that the website running cousin was Master P, he made this dross and it is obviously a hopelessly inept vanity project. The acting is horrible, I didn't laugh once, Master P makes all the women in the film fawn over him and pretend they are hot for him, despite him being a slow witted, slurring, ugly gimp.Terrible camera-work, an absence of script, lousy "jokes", a $7 production budget and even "BOING" sound effects when a guy sees a hot girl! In one scene an actor turned to camera and there were boom mikes in shot and cast shadows in a few scenes too. This movie sucks, this is a public service announcement. No matter how much you like Katt Williams AVOID INTERNET DATING AT ALL COSTS.Final Rating – 2 / 10. This is only 2 so I have somewhere lower to go in the unlikely event that I see something worse. 90 minutes of chat between 2 boring accountants would bring more laughs than this.If you liked this review (or even if you didn't) check out oneguyrambling.com
nathan-yeo Here goes the story MASTER-P went into the club hit on some waitresses/slash models and told them he could make them stars he's got a movie for them right now. So he threw some money at a bunch of comedians and told them to do their thang act your color in front of the camera. And thats all the movie is, comedians show-up at a sandwich shop, have some unscripted dialog with the employees featuring KAT WILLIAMS. Then the comedians act a fool. Then they leave and are seen later acting a fool. Its funny in the beginning but after-awhile gets boring. Know-one gets kicked in the nuts, or slips on a banana peel. No vicious pigs, midgets, Squirrels or Chihauhas! nothing but KAT WILLIAMS, being KAT, and Master-P playing the straight man.
Jbrown0170 Internet Dating had great potential to being funny with such names as Katt Williams and Clifton Powell, but the humor was found in desperation. The movie proved two things, 1.) if a relative of yours writes a script, seek out professional editing before you commit to print, and 2.) and I will neither buy this movie or watch it again. I must admit the movie was a little disappointing and that I forced myself to watch the movie in its entirety to ensure the movie wasn't bad as a whole, but sadly it was. However, there is a silver lining, the movie does show that should take what you read on profiles of others on dating internet sites should be held with a grain of salt and that "love" may be closer than you think.
z-capton This movie as you probably already know without even having to rent / buy it, was made on a very tight and low budget. The movie looks as if it were filmed on a inexpensive home video-recorder. The sound is awful, as if they had no mic attachments, they were merely going off the echoes of the walls? The story wasn't completely original, nor entertaining enough to keep my interest. After about 20 minutes, I removed the film from my player. Am I fan of Katt Williams? Yes! A very dedicated fan, which is why I initially decided to watch this flick... so it isn't a bias remark, the film was just awful. There was no humor at all, not because the movie hadn't started to get into the humorous parts, but because the humorous parts had already failed up to the point of me turning it off.Katt Williams is a phenomenal stand-up comedian without a doubt, but does that make him an awful actor? No. Many people think just because somebody is a artist, stand-up, athlete, etc. that they can't act. I believe Katt has a load of potential to be a well accomplished comedian actor. Although, if he continues to accept roles such as the one he did in this film, he won't get the attention deserved. Films like this will do no actor any justice, whether your Katt Williams, Dane Cook, or even Will Smith. It's simply a role that nobody could fill in and make the movie, an enjoyable movie. In this case, it comes down to the story, director, and budget, when all three fail... so will the star actor. I wouldn't recommend this film to anyone, whether you enjoy the Katt's work, or you enjoy comedies, because in my own personal opinion, this doesn't fill either spot.Z.CAPTON'S OFFICIAL REVIEW OF "KATT WILLIAMS: INTERNET DATING"
