johnny-w WOW, and I thought the original cartoon was good! Folks, if you haven't checked this movie out, it's about time you do. In this laugh-out-loud follow-up to the 1999 movie starring Matthew Broderick (Deck the Halls, Family Business), you get to witness the true example of an outstanding sequel.French Stewart (The New WKRP in Cincinnati, Home Alone 4) stars as Inspector Gadget, and I must say that he pulled off the role much better than Broderick. His performance was downright wacky and entertaining - he captured the essence of the true Inspector Gadget character so well. It's sad that you don't see much of French Stewart in the movies these days. His on-screen presence could surely liven up some of the more lackluster movies Hollywood has been churning out lately, such as Avatar. Still, I'll take what I can get, and I'm just crossing my fingers that Inspector Gadget 3 comes to fruition and he gets the starring role once more! If you're as serious about film as I am, do yourself a favor and rent Inspector Gadget 2 - you will not be disappointed. Go-go-gadget-VIDEO STORE!
FilmFanInTheHouse Inspector Gadget 2 (2003, Dir. Alex Zamm) Still in the police force, Inspector Gadget (Stewart) is reduced to sitting around. After capturing Claw (Martin), all the criminals have gone into hiding until…Claw escapes! Gadget thinks he will get the case, but everyone else has other planes. A new version of the Gadget project is unveiled in the form of G2 (Hendrix). Strict orders are given for Gadget to stay away from G2 and every crime scene, but Gadget feels he is needed more than anyone.Tries to make the film similar to its animated show but ends up creating a film which is more disappointing than the original. The CGI effects are terrible, many plot holes from the first film are unanswered and French Stewart fails to capture the same quality performance that Broderick achieved as Gadget. You can't fire me. I quit! – Inspector Gadget (French Stewart)
Ella Ruiz they showed this film the last weekend, and i agree with Loubear, two of Aussie's great actors featured within there and best of all, filmed in Brisbane! (just north of where i live) i was like, hang on, that looks like the Brisbane River, and the Storey Bridge, and Town Hall!" the scenery was all too familiar considering the university i go to is nearby - Well in Brissie!!!!On the context of IG2, i guess it was okay, i watched it because there was nothing else on, and it was quite entertaining too, I found the fact that Sigrid Thorton and Mark Mitchell putting on American accents quite weird, but then again, i grew up watching Mark Mitchell pretending to be a Greek fruit shop owner and his wife, there's a first time for everything i guess
ActorAlex When I saw this movie I was very pleased. I thought it was excellent. But then it got better. I auditioned for a movie entitled "The Haunting Hours", which isn't on IMDb yet. I made the part and met the director. The directors name, you ask? Alex Zamm. I recently discovered this and now I want to see this movie again. See "Inspector Gadget 2" and then see "R.L. Stine Presents: The Haunting Hours", and keep a good eye out for a 6-year-old main character. 'Cause that dude's me. Now about the movie. The cast is amazing, the crew did a fantabulous job, and the director is AWESOME!!!!!!! See this movie, and be very, very, VERY pleased!!!!
