"Idem Paris" is a collaboration between France and the United States. It is one of the recent (short) films by famous director David Lynch and he has made many short films in his career to this date, so it's no surprise that this one is from 2013 here, will have its 5th anniversary next year. It depicts the work at a French printing studio. There is no narration. It runs for 8 minutes and is in black-and-white. Sadly, the subject here is so specific that only those who work in the same area as the people depicted here may have an interest in checking this one out. If they aren't sick of their job, that is of course. So yeah, it is not really an informative watch, just a state of affairs really and it is certainly not a film for general audiences. The best is maybe the sound work here as it really sounded pretty beautifully at times, but what we see at the same time is so irrelevant and difficult to understand to pretty much everybody that I just cannot recommend the watch. Thumbs down. Only worth seeing for printers and Lynch completionists. I was glad it was this short.
