Synopsis

Marianne, 44, has been living with the lawyer Gustaf in a conventional sexless marriage for way too long. She wants a separation, but Gustav settles for a trial separation. As Marianne indulges in being newly single, Gustaf is perplexed by the sudden turn of events and in his confusion makes a completely irrational career change: he quits his job to start writing poetry. Meanwhile, Marianne meets the artist Rodolfo, the complete opposite of Gustaf; intriguing, emotional, impulsive. And horny.

kjohoy I was trying to find a nice relaxing movie to watch on a Saturday afternoon. I came across this a few times on Netflix and thought I'd try it. I found this film to be realistic when it comes to divorce, not all divorces are about Infidelity and cheating, sometimes one just wants something different in life and or more. This movie touches that topic. Great characters, all were likable and added to the story.
jdandtex-338-717921 I was wondering what to watch on Netflix streaming. I had already bypassed this movie a few times. There was nothing else that I was interested in, so I thought, why not try it? I enjoyed it. Yes, it's like a few American divorcing couples cliché comedies and sometimes I enjoy those too. I know that the Swedish film industry makes many types of movies. I am most familiar with Ingmar Bergman who was pretty philosophical and dark. So, for me, "I Love You" was refreshing. I have always liked Max von Sydow. Now I have a new Swedish actor that I like, Bjorn Kjellman.I thought that he was funny as the nerdy husband, Gustaf. I watched some of Bjorn's interviews on YouTube and he's nothing like the character he plays. He's funny and outgoing. I like his persona and the man can sing. I like Christine Meltzer as Marianne. I thought that she was very natural in manner and looks. I liked the ending.
David Svanholm Very bad movie. None of the characters felt real at all. I guess the script is to blame. Totally unrealistic from start to finish. Zero respect for the audience. One good scene at the hospital does not save this movie from disaster. When a scene starts you know were it is going before anyone has done anything.
