Reviews

Ganesh Salian (salianmoviereview) Housefull directed by Sajid Khan is worse than a nightmare. After the movie was over I was surprised that how actors like Akshay Kumar,Ritesh Deshmukh,Boman Irani,Arjun Rampal agreed to act in this painful movie. The story is old.The screenplay is bad.The music is good. The cinematography at some places works. The dialogs are okay, but unfortunately the actors yell the dialogs which makes one uncomfortable.Performances-.Sadly,None of the lead actors work except Chunky Pandey and Arjun Rampal.Chunky Pandey in a brief role is the star of the show!Arjun Ramapal is decent.Deepika Padukone looks amazing in those short skirts but acts amazingly horrible. On the whole Housefull is Painful.
timesquare66 This movie has cheap comedy which has been repeated by the director in his earlier movies. This movie has the most silly song "He is such a loser". The songs are okay but over-hyped as usual in bollywood movies. This movie's climax is the worst. Akshay Kumar does not overact as much as his usual movies for change. It is the girls that overact especially Lara Dutt. Many scenes were stolen from various Hollywood movies. The scene which had akshay and monkey slapping each other went on for around 10 mins. I prefer priyadarshan-akshay combo than sajid-akshay combo simply because priyadarshan is a much better comedy director. There are similarities with hey baby. Unless you want to watch a brainless flick, don't waste money on it.
shariq_forever I went to watch Hosefull by knowing clearly that this is a Sajid Khan's movie, and it has to be stupid and dumb. I watched the movie Housefull with my gf and very few audiences in the cinema hall. But I laughed and enjoyed the movie through out. I wanted to give a 4 or 5 rating, and even didn't wanted to right a review for the movie. But after watching worse (BC) and worst (Kites) movies one after another, I have to do some justification to the Sajid Khan's movie. So I'm giving Housefull a fully comedy and entertaining movie 8 out of 10, after watching Badmash Comapny and Kites. I gave Kites 1 out of 10 and wanted to give Badmash Company 0 out of 10.
Unborn P How can they ever justify the title of this movie keeping in mind the decreasing number of audiences in the theater once this movie starts rolling? People begin rolling in their seats also not laughing but uneasily cringing at supposedly funny scenes. The story is too ridiculous to be told. Arush played by Akshay Kumar is a sweet guy with a messed up life and makes others lives messed up too which makes for some flat cheesy jokes in a movie filled with caricatures and stereotypes. Many scenes particularly the climax should make it to the hall of shame for being the most ridiculous "comic" scenes ever filmed in Bollywood. The actors try to do their best in this failed venture but ultimately Sajid Khan has done a great job of making a fool out of himself and all the actors in this movie. If he comes up with another comedy like this we should deport him to our enemy country to terrorize them with all his torturing and traumatizing jokes.Akshay Kumar,Reitesh Deshmukh,Lara Dutta and Boman Irani would have been really effective with a good comedy as they managed to pull out some laughs and guffaws from the audience even in Sajid's house full of headaches and pain.
