Reading negative reviews from users on this movie makes me laugh. Those who give High School Musical a measly 1 or 2 stars are the same people who read "millennials are killing..." articles and nod in agreement. They are also the same people who probably went into this movie with actual hopes for some decent acting and a realistic plot. Any expectations will cause a downfall. If you fully embrace the fact that this movie is a whole new level of dorky and catchy, it makes the experience all the better. It is a film filled with cheesy songs and exuberant choreography that seems to take place in the most random of places. The plot is 100% predictable and the acting is terribly funny. Don't watch any HSM with any intent to really critique it; it's funny because it's bad, so pop some pop corn, sit down, and enjoy the show!

When I was a little boy about like 7 I was in love with this movie ans so was my best friend. We had the karaoke High School Musical version and we would always sing the song in the beginning of the movie, the duet with Zac and Gabriella. But today in my math class we watched it and I have to say did this movies acting get worse. I mean this movie was the bomb in 1st Grade. The actors seem to say their lines too fast and they have no passion in their voice. I mean I know they were 15 when they shot this movie but, thats no excuse for poor acting. I just feel so tense when I watch this movie and the two leads don't even look like their in love.I thought their singing was good and then I heard that Zac Efron wasn't even singing in this movie and someone else recorded his voice for him. Gabriella was pretty and she sang good but she had poor acting skills. I mean Vanessa Hudgens has improved but not in this movie. So I suggest if you are going to watch this watch it with your kids and play on your phone during it or you will fall asleep.Plus Zac Efron looks like a rejected Justin Bieber in this movie.

What the hell was this movie? Who was it supposed to appeal to? It must have appealed to someone, as it became one of the most popular Disney Channel movies of all time, receiving 7.7 million viewers in its premiere broadcast, and despite mixed critical reviews became a hit franchise with a popular soundtrack, two sequels, one sort-of sequel, and several foreign language spinoffs. It made its main stars famous and whether I like it or not, it did have a huge impact on the musical movie subgenre, with many musicals after it attempting to cash in on the high school setting. But nowadays, most people don't seem to remember it too fondly and many see it as the embodiment of everything wrong with Disney at the time, so I don't think I'm going to break anyone's heart when I say that this movie was pretty bad. The characters are all stereotypes, the writing succumbs to a lot of the typical Disney clichés, the stakes are the lowest I've ever seen in a movie I've reviewed, and the acting ranges from ridiculously over-the-top to weak monotone. Honestly, though, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I feared that watching it was going to be one of the most painful experiences I ever willingly subjected myself to, but it was more just bland and boring, and with the movies I've seen, the standards are set so low that just being bland and boring still counts for something.

The first HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL was just incredible and that's what I am going to be reviewing. The plot, I won't explain, because you don't need to know or do you already know what the plot is about because it was really amazing and fantastic. Now, I get into the other stuff about this film. High School Musical is just incredible with every single aspect of this film and this film is just really spectacular in it's story and amazing dancing choreography. The story is really amazing and fantastic, but the film is definitely good in telling a great story. Disney Channel done a great job and it is really amazing the way they told this movie. It does really cool things and there are some scenes that I hate and I don't want to get into that. The acting is amazing in this film. Zac Elfron and Vanessa Hudgens plays the two main characters and they had good chemistry. Lucas Grabeel and Ashley Tisdale were really good as brother and sister Ryan and Sharpay Evans and fantastic in this film, but their performances were a little bit over the top.Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman plays Chad and Taylor and they do a really good job as well and they give incredible performances. The music and songs in this film are really good amazing and very fantastic and the dance choreography for the musical numbers are really amazing and spectacular and I think it really does shine out.Overall, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL gets a 7 out of 10 and the film is really amazing in everything in detail, from the acting to the music to the dancing to the story to the dialogue, this film is really amazing and it stands out as the weakest film of the trilogy to some people and for me, this is the weakest of the trilogy, but it also a stand-out of the three films.
