joshuadrake-39480 After HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2, it was announced that HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR, would be the final film in the High School Musical trilogy and it is really good amazing. The plot is very amazing and the idea of calling this film "Senior Year" was amazing because this is the end of an era and the ending to a great franchise that was created by Disney.I was really excited to see how it would turn and it was really amazing once I finally saw, but I didn't get to see it until it was released on DVD, but my sister LeeAnn saw in both the theaters and on DVD and it was really cool. The songs were really amazing and just fantastically amazing and a really darn good choreographer and director who was great and so amazingly good this time around. My favorite musical numbers is at the beginning, where the say "Now or Never, "Can I Have This Dance?", and the prom musical number, "A Night to Remember".The only song that I can't stand was "I Want It All", but the version without Sharpay in the musical show, sung only by Ryan was really cool.I love this film's story and that was a really great story to pull off because I already lost one HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL movie, and that was HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2, but I have to say, for me and anyone who is a fan of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, the first film and the third film are the only ones worth watching, so HSM 2 is worth skipping if you are a fan of the franchise, but I don't have an extremely amount of problems of this film as I had one major problem with the second film. The only problems with the second film that I had were Sharpay and way too many songs. The only problems I have is once again Sharpay, the idea of Gabriella trying to leave from Troy, again, the idea of creating a villain for Sharpay, which her name is Tiara Gold and the idea of Gold trying to take the theatre department from Sharpay Evans. Those problems were the reason why I put HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR on my list of the Top 10 Overrated Movies, but it really gives me a great and satisfying conclusion. The acting is once again top-notch and Ashley Tisdale as Sharpay, still gets on my nerves, but she does not fail to deliver and incredible and intense performance that really saves this movie from being too stupid for me.The music and dancing is once again also are really cool and they are just really amazing and is really fantastic this time around and they could have not done any better.Overall, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR is good, if not better than the first one. Sure, there are some major flaws, which are the ones I just mentioned that are the reasons why the movie appears on my Top 10 Overrated Movies list on IMDb, but Disney and the Disney Channel network could have done a heck of a lot worse, but I've also seen worse from Disney.I have also seen some very bad TV shows and movies from the Disney Channel network. This film is getting an 8 out of 10.After the success of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3, there was an original idea for another HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL film, but it would not have the original cast returning, instead it would feature a brand new cast and would be titled HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: EAST MEETS WEST, but that idea would eventually scrapped.A spin-off titled SHARPAY'S Fabulous ADVENTURE, starring Ashley Tisdale as the title character and the film was not good at all and I don't plan on doing a review of it because it is just plain stupid. To this day, they have been talking about another HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL movie and with the director and the original cast returning for the fourth film and it would be a challenge to get Zac Elfron, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Olesya Rulin and the rest of the crew back together for a fourth film and they have moved on to other and bigger things.I would love to see what HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4 would be and I think they are actually talking about having Troy and Gabriella get married.Man, would that be a blessing to see? On the big screen? Heck, yeah. Hopefully they put as many songs as they need to in this film, but not too much because we saw what happened with the second film and I hated that one.But back to the possibility of High School Musical 4. They should call the tagline under the words "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4", simply THE WEDDING because if Troy and Gabriella gets married, I would pay to buy it on DVD.Yet, they have said it's release date, start date of principal photography or when the film will be in development. My God, Disney better say something about HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4 soon because it's been a long time since the last one and I really want to see the Wildcats Team back on the big screen.Well, that's it for the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL trilogy and film franchise overall. It's definitely had it's upside and downside, but I still love this trilogy. That's it for this franchise review and for right now. Thank you so much for reading and listening and I will see you next time.
yayacari High School Musical 3: Senior Year has to be one of my favorite movies of all time, I personally like this movie the best out of the entire trilogy. This movie saw the characters in a new light as they come close to the end of senior year and a new chapter in their lives. Troy still remains in character as an optimistic, romantic, naive and indecisive person. After the events of HSM 1 and 2 he's questioning what does he want in life. I think a lot of people misread that when he moves to California to be with Gabriella he simply does it for her. On the contrary, he does it for himself. For so long Troy has done what other people wanted him to do especially with his father Jack and his best friend Chad. Both Chad and Jack believe this "singing thing" as well as Gabriella as simply a phase he's going through. Even in the movie he admits that U of A was sort of chosen for him. Towards the end he pursues what he wants for himself and what makes him happy (Theater, Basketball and Gabriella). Throughout the film we see that he does love Gabriella although he doesn't say it. He supports her whenever she needs help and does show to be a very romantic person. He never puts himself first when it comes to Gabriella and clearly adores her. He wants to make her a part of her life and towards the end the movie I am convinced that they are going to get married. Gabriella is still my favorite character in the franchise, Her problem in the story is that she is accepted to an early college program and is unsure about attending and leaving Troy behind. It's also evident that she wants to be Troy almost up to the point where she gives up Stanford for him. The difference between what Troy does and Gabriella does is that while Gabriella knows what she wants to do with her life, Troy still remains unsure. Troy even tells her that she needs to accept the early college program because he wants her to be the best she can be. Although I'm not very fond of Sharpay I do like her in this movie, she's very sneaky and manipulative and I really bought her as a mean girl high school villain. Ryan and Kelsi also branch out from the characters they once were in HSM 1 and become their own people and not just comic relief. Chad is another person who grows up and learns that childhood can't last forever when his best friend (Troy) makes his decision. I also like Ms. Darbus's character in the third movie you actually see her in a new light, as a person who gives advice to her students, especially Troy. Troy and Gabriella have to be my favorite Disney couple as they really portray a healthy and loving relationship. You can see that they have really grown from the puppy love story of High School Musical 1. This movie sort of portrays them as "star-crossed lovers". While everyone around them tells them that their romance is merely a high school romance, they hold on to the belief that their love is beyond a high school romance and something real. (It's true love!!!) Can I Have This Dance is my favorite song from the movie as well as Right Here Right Now as it shows how badly they want to be together. All in all it may not be as memorable as Saving Mr. Banks, Remember the Titans, and Glory Road. HSM 3 was a great way to end the franchise on a high note. It's romantic, funny, and everything that an HSM fan will love.
cutebunnies567 I was about 5 or 6 when I watched the movie and I remember telling my mom that the movie - ''was awesome.'' But now, when I look back on it I realize that the movie was kinda 🌽Y. Good actors were chosen for the right roles. I feel the actors really worked well with their characters. The relationships were not fake and not strained. But, I reiterate that everything fell into place too easily. The songs, for me, were the best part of the movie. They were catchy, fun and suited the movie well. The movie failed to appeal to it's target audience of teens but captured the attention of 4-8 year olds. I'm happy to say that they didn't drag the series out.
